As we hit Friday night finding ourselves in the middle of rivalry weekend, all college football fans know what this weekend means, as bragging rights hang in the balance for so many people in cities, states, & regions across America. One of, if not the biggest game of them all, is Ohio State vs Michigan, known as "The Game."

For stoolies who may not consider themselves college sports fans, they still know this game ohh so well with Dave Portnoy being the Michigan man. He is always against Big Ev, Mark Titus, & of course maybe the biggest Buckeye of them all, Ohio’s Tate. Already this week we have seen the rivalry boil over with talks, live streams, & who will or won’t be there.
With Ohio State the clear #1 team in the nation & locked into the playoff, they are looking to end a shocking 4-game losing streak to their rivals in Ann Arbor. For Tate, Titus, & Big Ev, they have been locked in personal hell I’m sure, with their boss having the bragging rights over their heads for years. So Saturday isn’t about playoffs or Big 10 championships; it is solely about re-establishing the dominance they enjoyed for over a decade before this Michigan run, & of course being able to tell their boss to shove it!
With Portnoy that is much easier said than done, as he may be one of the most fortunate fans alive. During his time as the Barstool leader he has seen championships from the Celtics, Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, & Wolverines. So you have to wonder… will his devil’s-magic fanhood show up yet again Saturday??
For Ohio’s Tate, much much more is on the line than bragging rights, as he stated pre-season his punishments for each loss(as seen here: https://www.barstoolbreakdown.com/post/quick-quick-ohio-s-tate-released-the-punishment-list). Well… this one could get real dicey, as if the Buckeyes somehow fall tomorrow he will begin a trek by FOOT all the way back to Columbus, OH. For those who don't know, that’s just a short 176 miles. Now of course in the summer, spring, or heck even fall it may not be too harsh of a punishment… right?

BUT for those weatherheads, this could be an issue, as most of the country, especially the Midwest, is going to be experiencing some pretty intense winter weather beginning possibly during the game itself & continuing through the weekend.

So for Tate, this 60 minutes of football shall be one that has his mind darting all over the place, from his boss, to bragging rights, to walking through a potential winter storm. All of this puts Barstool right in the middle of the biggest event of the sports weekend yet again. A masterful performance by Portnoy & Tate to bring in all stoolies to watch this game as so much hangs in the balance.
Good luck to Ohio’s Tate as he not only braves the fans, weather, & mind-racing over his possible hike home.
