Cashing In on Speed: The Dollar Tree 301

It's race day, hopefully, in Loudon, New Hampshire. There is rain in the forecast until 4pm local time. I would assume there will be a race today, but it will probably be delayed. Which is great for me becuase I am behind on getting this blog out because I had too much last night.

Anyways, lets get into my picks.

Christopher Bell - Finishing Position Better than 5.5: I could make a lot of jokes about C Bell and his amazing ability to finish second, multiple times this season, but I won't. What I will say, is that he has covered this line in five of the last seven races. He has won here twice, 2022 and 2024, which makes me think that he is taking after Slowgano by having a weird thing for winning on even years. Hopefully for C Bell he can finish first for once...

Chase Briscoe - Finishing Position Better than 8.5: Last week I talked about how Briscoe is becoming my favorite driver which means I have to put him in this lineup. He is starting P17, so he will have to work his way through the field to get up to finish better than 8.5 but based on what we have seen the last 6 or so races I have full confidence in him. We do need to hope he learned his lesson about running out of fuel though, hopefully having a crew chief managing it will make sure it doesn't happen during the race...

Josh Berry - Finishing Position Better than 7.5: If I had to assign Josh Berry a cartoon character I would give him the green army guys form Toy Story. He's sneaking his way up finishing well the last hand full of races, and with him starting P2 I have really high faith that he finishes above this line. In his previous two races here in the Next Gen Era, he has finished second and third.

Ryan Blaney - Finishing Position Better than 4.5: The milk man... I am so glad he doesn't always drink him milk by character it. I think Ryan has to disappointed why his race last week, and maybe he should be. Who am I to judge? Ryan did win here last year, and Team Penske does have a good short track package this year. Today will be a good day for this guy.

Tyler Reddick - More than 52.5 Laps Lead: Tyler won the pole and is starting P1, which makes this play the easiest over yet. These laps will be quick, Tyler has had a lot of eyes on him for a lot of the recent races because of his not so great finishes. That I believe will push him to stay in the lead.

Before I go, I do want to talk about the photo that NASCAR used on the starting grid graphic because what in the hell is this pose? Am I supposed to be turned on? Why is it so seductive? I don't understand.

I hope we get some Pick6 Purple today.
