Gonzaga Basketball I'm Ready To Hurt Again
Over a month ago Gonzaga lost what I see as a top 5–7 big in the nation in Braden Huff , given a funky timeline of 4–8 weeks. Then recently, still seeing him on crutches, my postseason expectations as a fan started to shift from Final Four contenders to let's win this last WCC campaign before we ride off into the new Pac-12 in 2026–27. But yet again my Bulldogs, with the leadership of Mark Few, are stringing something together once more. Before the past decade or so, really

March Madness: Bubble Mania!
Mid-major conference tournaments are under way, so now power conference bubble teams officially are in scoreboard-watching mode. Now the mid-major scene doesn't have as many "bid stealers" as in the past, but there are some definite root-for squads if your team has been hovering over the bubble scene the past month. Though I am firmly in the camp of rather seeing, say, a 29–5 Belmont as an at-large over an Auburn at 19–15 who couldn't even go above .500 in their conference.

We Are All Livin' In Chef Donny's World
For those who thought he was a one hit wonder, or the man who got to the top & changed… well it's time to eat some damn crow. The lore of Chef continues to peel back like the world's most perfect onion. And thanks to his in-office rival, who many now consider the devil himself, Mark Titus , we continue to get deeper & deeper into the world of Chef Donny . Today the Yak legend pulled double duty as he spilled over into the Mostly Sports world on Jerzday as Titus rolled out wh

The Dozen Trivia Championship Bubble
Dozen Trivia Network There are 16 teams in the Dozen, but how many of them can actually win the championship? Can any of the new teams win it? Are we most likely headed for a repeat champion? I break it all down and more! Let's start with the first group: In the Middle of the Bubble Experts Ziti Booze Ponies Minihane Uptown Balls I believe most of these are self-explanatory, but I also understand the questions some fans may have about some. Experts and Ziti have won the last

Week 4: Dozen Trivia Preview
After a week of statements being made in the Dozen Trivia league, Week 4 now feels like the week of opportunity. The Experts, coming off their Big Game Classic loss, made sure to announce to the league they are still the team to beat, but wait, could it now be Ziti's turn to put the pedal down on the rest of the league? Ziti, Booze Ponies, & Chicago will all be in spots to take control early in the season of their destiny. Let's take an inside look. Tuesday #14 Chicago (0-1)

Barstool After Dark: Doug Doug 2.0
We now have the revenge attempt of the Doug Doug challenge. After last year's close call & heartbreaking end for Ohio's Tate & the crew, they are turning to strength in numbers. This year as the boys go for the world record, they will do so with a bigger crew & double the stakes. Madness Awaits: Mizzou Bursts Free from the Bubble Bind
And breathe, Mizzou Nation... A dominating performance for Dennis Gates and Co. in Starkville on Saturday might not be the biggest win on the Tigers' résumé, but it does however likely solidify that this team will be dancing in March as they improve to 20-9 overall, 10-6 in the SEC. First and foremost, FIRE ME UP, GREEN GREG!!!!!!! (Family always, BFW) After a disastrous December that saw losses at Notre Dame (76-71) and two neutral site losses to kansas (80-60) and Illinois

WCC Gonzaga at Moraga One Last Time
The farewell tour to the WCC continues with another bittersweet final moment this Saturday night. As the Gonzaga Bulldogs travel to their rivals, Saint Mary’s, as WCC foes one last time in Moraga, California. A true end-of-an-era game, as the two have given us countless epic battles over the past couple decades atop the conference. Though there’s excitement in Spokane for the future with the Pac-12, still a piece of history is being left behind. Who would have thought a ti

The Barstool Combine A Redemption Story
Another draft season is officially upon us, which means combine! As the next wave of stars look to showcase why they deserve to be top picks this spring, Barstool employees have the chance to prove they still have some athleticism left & that the pathetic Titans narrative is nothing but rumors. The stars are aligning for a big day as Big Cat looks to seal another victory to put into the stool history books, while others like Ohio's Tate prepare for a redemption story made f

Top 25 Players In The Dozen (updated)
Dozen Trivia Network | UPDATED 2/25/26 We have our favorites, we have our villains, but who are the best players in The Dozen Trivia League? I did not build this list purely off PPM, as a player like Dana Beers will be a contender to finish as the highest scorer, but is he the best player? Instead, I built this list purely on my opinion. Throughout the season, I will be updating this list. You will see the last time it was updated at the top of the article New text in gree

Week 3 Preview: The Dozen Trivia
Following a week that featured a major upset by a new franchise & two of the more popular teams righting the ship, we somehow have an even better schedule to look forward to in Week 3. Sabre, coming off their major upset of Minihane , will look to ride the wave into a winning streak, highlighted by a Sunday night special that may shake the core of the South. Before we get into the preview, I’m also excited to add the official Dozen Trivia Network as a collaborator for all

THE NBA HAS AN AWARDS PROBLEM
In the 2023-24 season, the NBA implemented a new rule regarding who would be eligible for awards. They changed it to where in order to win an individual award or be named to All-NBA, a player would have had to play 65 games. Also a minimum of 20 minutes played in those 65 games just so no one tried to finesse the system. Pretty reasonable right? That's 79% of an NBA season. Only 2 MVP award winners (in non-lockout/COVID shortened seasons) have ever played less than 65 games.

United States, We are Golden Together
It may have been an early Sunday morning wake-up call we all dragged ourselves out of bed for, but it was one we will never forget. Canada vs. the United States with a Gold Medal on the line in Milan not only stood on business. With Jack Hughes’ golden goal in OT to seal the gold for Team USA, our first in Olympic hockey since 1980, we have the Miracle on Ice, and now we have the Greatest Show on Ice. In a game that featured the world’s best hockey players going after what m

Gold Medal Game Of Destiny
All of North America’s, and the NHL’s, dreams have come true. The Gold Medal game Sunday morning will feature Canada vs. the United States . After two semifinal games with very different stories finished today, all of the hockey world’s eyes are now locked in on what is potentially the most highly anticipated sporting event of the past decade for all of North America. When the NHL & the IOC came to an agreement to allow NHL players back into the Olympics, we all know this was

USA USA USA! I LOVE GOOOOLLLDDD!!
The United States women’s hockey team took down Canada with a golden goal in OT from Megan Keller , after Hilary Knight came through with a masterful tip with two to go in regulation to force overtime. The women finished off one of the most dominant runs you’ll ever see en route to gold over Canada. As the Olympics continue to fire up, hockey is taking over the country, from Quinn Hughes for the men yesterday to Keller today for the gold. We have gotten 5…yes, 5 straight OT

Barstool After Dark: A Curling Spectacular
As I start to write this up, I can’t help but be buzzin’ from the Olympics after a day of hockey that will go down in history. Quinn Hughes finished the day with a USA-saving OT goal to get us into the semifinals Friday. With all that said, the Olympics are in full go mode, that cannot be denied, so now it is time for a little Barstool spin to get into the action. So are we thinking Big Air? Hockey? Bobsled? No, no, no… CURLING! Ohio’s Tate is assembling a team that could o

Week 2: The Dozen Preview
Coming off of an exciting week of matches with potentially new stars in the making as the Po’Boyz showed out in their debut, now we turn to another fabulous week of trivia. I won’t go into too much detail of the previous week in case some are still playing catch up on the matches. Also, until more teams get involved, I won’t be giving the MVP & Rookie ladders just yet. I think it’s important to get more context. Though Kelly Keegs burst onto the scene as an early strong MVP

FREE BIRD!!! My Milan Olympics Recap
FREE BIRD!!! 🦅 🇺🇸 The 2026 Winter Olympics Ice Hockey opener in Milan did not disappoint. In a once-in-a-lifetime event, TEAM USA fought off a shaky first period of goals being taken away to dominate Latvia 5-1 with some of the cleanest goals I’ve ever seen! Putting the finishing touches on a trip to Italy I’ll never forget On Thursday night we boarded a literally standing-room-only but free shuttle to the stadium. When I mean standing room only, we were air-vac packed in

Inbound to Milan: USA Hockey is Do or Die!
Going to the FREAKIN OLYMPICS! LETS GO BABY! U.S.A HOCKEY IS DO OR DIE! As I start this off, I’m currently headed to Italy to see my first Olympic action in person. With NHL players finally back in Olympic play, it felt like a no-brainer to take the trip. Thankfully it was Italy too, which made it much easier to convince the wife to fly across the pond, as they say, to see a hockey game. A once-in-a-lifetime experience is on deck Thursday as we’ll be boots on the ground for
