Barstool After Dark: King of the Court

AHHHHHH, you smell that? Fall crisp air, with leaves hitting the ground, sweatshirts, and holiday-themed treats, all staples of the best time of the year...oh, and HOOPS! That is right, basketball is back, and Barstool After Dark is here to get you right in the mood for the hardwood season tip-off with 20 of your favorite Barstool personalities! Let's just say you might wanna block off a little more than 15 minutes this week, stoolies.

Okay, a lot to unpack here from Tate's video. First off, what exactly does he mean by King of the Court? In basketball terms, many know that as you win, you run the court until you hit a target score...but let's remember, this is After Dark, so it may hardly be that simple when it comes down to it. Next...what a list of people we have tonight, and after all our bitchin' and complaining last week, Lucas & Tate come back with some fire. We have a great group in front of us, setting up for a fun stream. Sooooooooo... instead of trying to guess what exactly we may see, in honor of DraftKings, I've set up a little sportsbook on things we may see, and then, of course, it wouldn't be a blog without...POWER RANKINGS! First, though...odds!

Alright, we are looking at just the top contenders for each category here. What sticks out right away? It has to be Cheah asking for rules clarification. The Yak faithful know that one has Chalktober vibes to it. In fact, it may be great odds at -1000. A question feels already given!

Then, yes, you are not mistaken...Barstool "Green" Greg is not slated to appear, yet in just the Poor Decisions Pool winner category, he holds better odds than Burns to win. Now, you may ask, how does Burns not come away with winning a pool of only two players in which one isn't even competing? Well, just go watch an episode of Poor Decisions. That's all I have to say to that.

We have some other really fun ones to look out for, including potential rivalries. Of course, Nicky Smokes & Rico lead the way on that, and then, of course, your standard chat most/least. I think many will take Annika as a potential favorite...I call 'em how I see 'em, and ummmmm I know my chats.

Lastly, we have the never-fail Power Rankings. Oh yes, of course we need those! Now, to be fair and keeping par with Tate's favorite rankings, the AP Polls, I have left 4 out of the rankings, though they did receive votes at least! Meanwhile, at the top, you have the guys who feel to have the perfect balance between basketball skill & willingness to survive After Dark shenanigans. Though I gotta admit, Hank at 9 could be a steal, as I heard he may finally be dunking!

Who is your number 1 in the power rankings? Rico? Reed? Or can Nicky Smokes finally get a big win in the spotlight...well, if he keeps his hourly job through the stream, of course.
