San Francisco deserves a bid

As March approaches this weekend and the bubble begins to take more shape we start to find arguments for certain teams. History shows us that power 4 teams will usually get a favorable bid or at least the advantage over mid majors. But as these power teams continue to fumble the bag, for instance Wake Forest last night. When do we begin to turn to the mid majors?

San Francisco beat a 20 win team Oregon State on the road last night to improve to 23-7 on the season. They are tied for 2nd with Gonzaga in a conference that in many ways deserves a 3rd bid. Of course the simple way is for the Dons to win the WCC tournament. But here’s the thing they already have wins against other top mid majors including Saint Mary’s and played tight with Memphis. So why are they on the outs?
Metrics…ugh here we go again with those. I mean whatever happen to the eye test, actually watch these guys play a game. They have a legit guard who could be a fun story in March as well Malik Thomas is a guard with talent and NBA size:

They have a huge chance to show the country what they are all about against my Zags this Saturday and then possibly a rematch with the following weekend in the WCC tournament. Either way I’m just tired of acting like these Ohio States, Wake Forest, and Oklahoma teams are more deserving or will be more fun to watch at this point. Let’s give the Dons, former National Champions a shot!
Bet Recap: 3-1 not bad at all! Very close to a sweep! Let’s keep it going
