Final Four Saturday: Predictions & Best Bets

The Final Four of 1 seeds has arrived, our clash of titans, you could say, of college basketball. We are all hoping for some earth-shattering basketball to say the least. All four teams are not only 1 seeds but also playing their best ball. We have NBA talent to transfer journeymen all looking to leave their mark on the NCAA record books this weekend.

We need to all be as positive as possible to keep the vibes high for back-and-forth basketball with insane finishes. In fact, I’m so positive I’m not even going to mention how much of a letdown this tourney has been to us. Again, not going to mention that today.

Instead, let’s get into the matchups

Florida (SEC 34-4) vs Auburn (SEC 32-5)

Matchups to watch:

Florida Guards vs Auburn Guards

Both teams have guys that can go. Auburn, of course, takes pride in their guards' toughness on the defensive end, so I’m sure they are fired up after all the Walter Clayton Jr. talk from the media this week. But don’t forget about Wil Richard & Alijah Martin too.

Overview:

Auburn and Florida, of course, know each other all too well with both being from the SEC. Johni Broome’s true health status will be key in this one, as they will need his inside scoring to keep up with the high-powered offense of Florida. On the other side, Florida will look to push the pace as always and try to turn this one into a track meet. When playing in the bigger stadiums, shooting is always a question mark, so who handles that better will be interesting to see.

Best Bet: Florida -2.5 (-105)

Prediction: Florida 77, Auburn 73

Houston (Big 12 34-4) vs Duke (ACC 35-3)

Matchups to watch:

Cooper Flagg vs whoever is guarding him.

Houston defenders love to play physical, so whoever matches up with Flagg will be tasked with taking him off his game this will be far from easy. Flagg hasn’t seen a defense like this yet; he will be ready for the challenge.

Overview:

Duke offense vs Houston defense is the event we all want to see. Both are top in what they do and will be the best each has had to deal with this season.

One more thing to not get lost in is the capabilities of Duke's defense too. Houston has the edge in experience, and I’m sure this will be vital if they want to pull off the upset. Duke wants this game to be in the 70s or higher, as they know Houston is not built to win those types of games. Kelvin Sampson vs Jon Scheyer should be coaching cinema!

Best Bet: Over 136.5 (-108)

Prediction: Duke 78, Houston 71

Well, there’s nothing left to do but play the games. This could be the most impressive Final Four in decades let’s hope and keep the vibes high for great basketball all around. A little chaos could also be fun to watch as well. Three games left in our college basketball season until November, let’s soak it in and enjoy every last minute of it
