Who Will Cook at the Cook Out 400?

It is Saturday night and we are getting a scheduled Cup Series race under the lights in Richmond, VA. Coverage is on USA Network starting at 6:30 ET, with the green flag dropping at 7ET. Richmond is a 0.750-mile D-shaped oval short track (according to Wikipedia).

Side note: I feel personally attacked by NASCAR putting Joey Slowgano on the above graphic.

Lets get into my play this week:

Austin Dillon - Better than 10.5 Finishing Position: Austin has won the last two Cup Series races here at Richmond while starting P6 and P11, tonight he is starting P16. In the last five races Austin covered this line twice. Last week at Iowa with a 10th place finish, and July 12 at Echopark finishing' 7th. Austin clearly knows what a winning racecar feels like here at Richmond at night. It is important to note that he has led the more laps the last two years here too. On this weeks episode of The Gluckcast Austin said "At any of the racetracks we go to I feel the most confident going into Richmond after the last two performances we've had there...". He goes on to talk about how he's been close to winning here in previous generation cars. I think he will be able to get up to top 10, no problem tonight. LET HIM COOK.

Chase Briscoe - Better than 6.5 Finishing Position: Before getting into why I chose this bet I do want to say that I'm lowkey obsessed with Chase, he is very funny as we saw on the Dale Jr. Download, he has had great paint schemes, and continues to perform on the track. Anyways, Chase has covered this line in five of the last six races. Many people say that Iowa and Richmond are extremely similar and he races very well there last week. We also have seen the JGR cars abilities the last few races. He is starting P2 and I don't see how he finishe below this line. LET HIM COOK.

Denny Hamlin - More than 56.5 Fantasy Points: Denny, Denny, Denny... The hometown kid is back and he has the Denny Bros with boots on the ground for this race. With 5 wins here at Richmond, starting P14, an average fantasy points of 58 this year, and covering this line in three of the last five races, how does he not cover? Denny is a professional, but he has to be feeling some kind of pressure this weekend which is why I felt it was too risky to take his finishing position line, which at the time of writing this is 4.5.

Speaking of pressure, Denny's family was honored by Richmond Raceway with seats dedicated to the whole family.

Also, Denny's 11 year old daughter, Taylor sung the National Anthem Friday night before the Craftsman Truck Series race, which was later rescheduled to today. This girl KILLED it, and I hope to see her singing at more races.

Kyle Larson - Less than 57.5 Fantasy Points: As a new NASCAR fan I don't know all of the lore behind Kyle Larson but he kind of sucks. His paint schemes are lame, his old man opinions are lame, and his personality is lame. Being such a lame guy, taking the under on this feels like a no brainer. He has not covered this line in the last five races, and I don't know or care when the last time was because I might bore myself to death. HE CAN'T COOK.

Ryan Blaney - More than 43.5 Fastest Laps: The man. The Myth. The Mustache. As a girl whose Grandfather worked in a General Motors (Chevy) plant majority of his life and have always hated Ford vehicles, Ryan Blaney makes me like Ford. Side note: I unintentionally didn't capitalize Ford when typing this because of the hate, but I fixed it. It is important to note that the last time Ryan won a race, under the lights, in the Body Armor Flash IV car was when Barstool's own Spider and Large of Rubbin' is Racing with Spider and Large were in attendance. Ryan did cover this line last week after starting P1 in Iowa, and since it's so similar to Richmond I think he will cover again. LET HIM COOK.

Before we move on, I do want to point out that this clip of Ryan drinking milk did hit the internet this week. It is not being talked about enough so I needed to include it.

Tyler Reddick - Worse than 13.5 Finishing Position: *the saxophone keeps getting louder* Last week Tyler did not finish which is his first DNF of the year. In the last 10 races Tyler has only covered this line twice. Today he is starting P32, and I don't see how he works his way through the group. That is all. HE CAN'T COOK.
