College basketball has decided to peak at the right time. Just as we see the end of the football season, the NHL on All-Star break, and the allure of NBA trades dying down, our knight in shining armor...college basketball steps up. ESPN has always promo'd Tuesday nights as "Super Tuesday," but this one may take the whole damn cake! A perfect storm as we all look to fill the void left by a lackluster end to our football seasons Sunday night.
Tonight's slate has three ranked matchups, another four ranked teams on the road against teams on a run, and a handful of bubble or almost-locks pinned together, looking for a way to solidify their résumés into late February.
Look at these games...how can anyone truly not be in awe? This is happening on a random Tuesday night in February. This needs to be celebrated; we cannot take gifts like this for granted. It's not like it's Feast Week or any day in March. It's a damn random-ass Tuesday in February, boys let's cherish moments like this.
Wait a second...there are even more? Get the split screens going and bring the TV out from the bedroom. This is a pivotal moment in our training process for March; tonight is the perfect time to establish our routine and be playoff-ready for March Madness.

We cannot take this for granted. We all felt the emptiness of yesterday in our post-Super Bowl feelings. Now, only one day later, we are given this revival...a new beginning into a six-week sprint to March Madness. It is time to lock in. A perfect night to start the research process into our new formula that will be unbeatable in making our brackets and bets in March. It's all trial and error to prepare for March.
If you are new to the college basketball game and are a bit overwhelmed with the slate, take a deep breath and make sure to at minimum watch these three games:
#3 Florida @ #22 Mississippi State – ESPN2, 7 PM ET; Florida has been on a roll, and both teams LOVE to play fast, up-and-down ball.
#5 Tennessee @ #15 Kentucky – ESPN, 7 PM ET; Tennessee is looking for revenge after losing to Kentucky at home. This is pure defense vs. high-octane offense.
#7 Purdue @ #20 Michigan – Peacock, 7 PM ET; Best players you might not know to watch: G Braden Smith for Purdue and F Danny Wolf for Michigan.
Let's all dig in tonight and enjoy a Saturday-level slate on a Tuesday night, as we never know when or if we will get a midweek night like this again... Or it literally could happen again next week. BUT for now, we will fully immerse ourselves in this moment.
