PUCK IS BACK, & Some Fun Bets!
The sports calendar may be heating up, but the cold air and ice is here! The NHL returns today with a beautiful slate of games to get us back into PUCK! Oh, and now we get an 84-game season, what a time to be alive! Of course, in honor of the first day of hockey, we have to get a bet in; otherwise, it's like, do we even have a pulse?
There are some really cool bets out there today, and there is one that really freakin' has me psyched outta my mind right now. But I also have some sprinkles as well for the Coach Day faithful. Not to brag, but I am the last undefeated standing on Breakdown pick'em... gotta take the wins where you can get them while you're hot! Okay, so what is feeling icy today on the season opener?
Patrick Kane 3+ shots on goal
Kaner is back where he belongs, and you know he is gonna wanna get one off the bat for the Blackhawks. He is going to get some good looks for sure, as he will be buzzing around the ice.
Adam Fox 2+ points
Fox is healthy, and when he is feeling good, the dude produces—he is one of the most skilled defenders in the league. He is gonna get this season started on the right foot today in Boston.
Auston Matthews ATG
Matthews is gonna score; the stretch bet is whether he will score two or three IMO. All the reports from camp have been that he is flying around and a new man this season. He is going for the goal-scoring record, Ovi, just you watch!
Speaking of goals, now I have for you my bet of the night. This one feels very good, we have scorers on both sides of this one, and I know O Canada before puck drop is gonna get your loins a-burning for some GOALS, GOALS, GOALS! We are going for Over 6.5 in the Montreal & Toronto game. Yep, the goalies are gonna be sleepy on opening night.

The quest for Lord Stanley is off and running today, so while you are watching Mintzy & Frank the Tank figure out their mazes, don't forget to get that second screen going on the ice. Hockey is back! PUCK YEAH! (Sorry, almost made it all the way without a bad one... the pun was just too perfect.)
