Barstool After Dark: Mazing Mintzy

Fall is in the air, which means we have the return of the Amazing Mintzy... no, this is not a magic act, though it could borderline be considered one with the awe we are about to be left in. Ohio's Tate & Mintzy are teaming up again to attack the world's largest maze... with a bit of a wrinkle, as they now have a lil' competition with Mikey Bets & Frank the Tank coming into town.

Alright, so last year this was easily one of my & many others' favorite streams, with countless "you had to be there" moments between Tate & Mintz. Now it almost feels like fall can't officially start until we have checked off that last box of the Mintz Corn Maze. This year, though, in grand fashion, we have a new Tate & Lucas twist, as entering in is the newly slimmed-down, and his now full-haired accomplice, Frank the Tank with Mikey Bets. A tandem that, of course, never ever flies off the handle at each other when dealing with the slightest amount of adversity. Sooooo this should be no problem at all with their dynamite communication skills... right? Surely.

Okay, now for the rundown: this will be a checkpoint race. Instead of having to wonder what the other duo is doing or listening to them talk over one another, they will, in a sense, take turns until a checkpoint is found. One at a time, they will try their keys, and if a key fails, it goes back to the other team to find another one. After all of this... which could take 10 minutes or until Halloween, the losing team will then have their map ripped away and be forced to find their way out using their own sense of direction. The maze, btw, covers 10 sq. miles. Just for reference.

Now let's play a quick game of would you rather?

• Would you rather see a Mintzy redemption arc where he solves the maze within the hour, or... him & Tate lose, leading to them being stuck in the maze past midnight with the coyotes howling?

• Would you rather... Mikey Bets be sooo bad that Frank & him switch roles, or... bizarro world zen Frank gives a masterclass performance blindfolded?

• Would you rather have Mintz wear two boots, or... you wear boots and him bring back the crutches while handcuffed to Tate?

So there ya go, we have ourselves a dandy. Yes, that is how giddy I am for this one, I just freaking used "dandy"! And every single one of my fellow Stoolies should be ready to rock n' roll as well! What we have here are two teams that are legends of the game. This is Jordan vs. Kobe type of shit you just don't get on any ole random Tuesday night!
