Jordan Lawlar Has Arrived

I AM SOOO FREAKIN PUMPED TO WRITE THIS!!!

The time has come...the Arizona Diamondbacks have called up top prospect infielder Jordan Lawlar. He’s reportedly joining the squad tonight in San Francisco. The moment us Dbacks fans have been smashing our phones, TVs, and whatever else we can get our hands on for… is finally here.

Lawlar made his MLB debut as a young 21-year-old late in 2023, even landing on the playoff roster during that World Series run. Unfortunately, nagging little injuries kept him off the field for most of 2024. So coming into 2025, healthy and full of hope again, he had a good spring, turning all of us fans into that Looney Tunes wolf.

Instead of placing him on the roster right away, they sent him to AAA, mainly to get more at-bats after missing so much time last year. He didn’t pout one bit. Instead, he won Pacific Coast League Player of the Month and is hitting .336 with 13 steals on top of it. Another huge part of his development? His glove. He looks way more confident at all three infield positions: 2B, 3B, and SS. He’s had so many web gem-type plays, it’s left fans shouting from every corner of the Valley to “call his ass up!”

Now, the day has arrived. But let’s remember, he’s still only 23 years old. We need to be patient and not ride the emotional rollercoaster too hard while he adjusts to the major league grind.

His talent is absolutely there, but we can’t expect Corbin Carroll type of pops with every top prospect, everyone develops differently.

Lawlar, in the long run, has five-tool potential and could become a cornerstone piece of this young Dbacks core. So let’s celebrate the arrival of Jordan Lawlar, and enjoy this continued golden age of young Dbacks talent. This feels almost like the old Baby Backs era...but on freakin' steroids with the upside these boys have.

Thank you, Dbacks management, and welcome to the show, Jordan Lawlar.
