Alright, with Week 0 in the books, we are officially into Game Week, baby!!! After up & down results from Week 0, though we all are just glad to be back, the excitement of a full slate on a holiday weekend awaits... FOR ALL MY FALL HEADS, SUMMER IS DYING AWAY!!! And with the whole college football realm beginning, we are finishing up with a duo of QB & RB top players, separate lists, but posted together! Let's DO THIS!

Okay, the running backs, the fun position, right? Who doesn't wanna get the ball 20, 25, or even 30 times a game?!?! Well, this year, just like most, has a great group of runners, starting with a taste of the Group of 5. Yep, you are seeing that right, Boise has some buzz in the backfield again, as Dylan Riley is hoping to get his team on his back to the playoffs this December. He was up & down last year due to some injuries, but when healthy, the kid can flat-out run the rock. Week 1, we are gonna find out if he is worthy of the top 10, as Eugene will not be kind to his Broncos.

As we look at the middle group, we have some guys who can really make a case for something bigger if they find consistency this season. The name that really intrigues me has to be Isaac Brown of Louisville, his stretch to end last year was Heisman-level production if he can sustain it for a full season. People are very high on the Cardinals out in the ACC.

Okay, now let me talk to you about the top spot. Yes, he is expected to miss a game or two, BUT sometimes stats are just numbers, it's about ball knowledge, it's about seeing it on the field... Ahmad Hardy is that guy! The Missouri Tigers (sorry Green Greg & Ryder Stoolie) are at best maybe a 5-7 team without this man. He has that Jeremiyah Love/Saquon Barkley type of hype.
Alright, now onto the gunslingers & dual-threat leaders.

Now before you get on my ass about USC's Jayden Maiava being so low, let me see it against high-level teams, that's all I'm gonna say on that. I am big on Washington's Demond Williams Jr. to take the next step this year, his schedule is set up nicely, & Year 3 is the big year a lot of times for QBs. Also, I gotta stick with my guy, I've been in his corner since I saw him play in person for Basha (AZ).

Okay, now the top group. Ole Miss's Trinidad Chambliss for some reason is getting slept on HARD! I have him as my leader for the Heisman, he got all his weapons back & might have that chip-on-the-shoulder mentality, too, with the nation kind of throwing him aside. To me, he might not be the best NFL prospect on the list, but he is the best right now for the college game. As for Notre Dame's CJ Carr (my team, no big deal) & Texas's Arch Manning, yes, the noise is there about potential #1 picks & arm talent, but can they do it consistently will be the question.

Well, there ya go, we have it, the complete Coach Day list of Top college football players. And coming off my surprise 11th ranking in the Barstool Breakdown CFB personality list, I'm riding high. Though I have heard the rumors of "Coach just AIs his lists or blogs"...WRONG. I am a history teacher with horrible grammar that uses programs to proofread, but this ish is all mine, people. I watch wayyyyy too much ball for it not to be, just ask my wife!
