Camp Barstool is BACK!

Tuesday afternoon will kick off year 2 of Camp Barstool presented by Mountain Dew(Code Red is the BEST!). Stoolies can rejoice as one of the more popular live events from 2024 is back, with much of what we loved last year plus plenty of new twists and turns. Including camp referee Jerry O’Connell himself. Over the next 3 days, stoolies will get to see all of their favorite Barstool stars in action behind the play-by-play & commentary of Connor Griffin, Brandon Walker, and Barstool Eddie.

From information released on today’s Yak, it looks to be another 2-team format, with this year’s captains being the hardened rivals Max & Dana Beers. They’ll be drafting their teams on the Yak before the first day of events. This year it sounds like much bigger rosters of participants, which is a huge plus for stoolies, as it means better chances to see your personal favorites!

It will again be a 3-day competition between the squads, with Day 1 centered around field events, including possibly the world’s biggest egg throwing event. Then Day 2 they’ll hit the water for some aquatic gaming. Which finally will bring us to the last day, finishing up with another relay to end camp. The exact events weren’t given out, though softball, pickleball, and even tennis were mentioned by multiple Yak members...so we could have some new events in 2025.

Of course, when you have the whole office together like this, the possibilities are endless. For instance, as this is being written there’s still no official word on this week’s Barstool After Dark. Could we have a large office participation in store? We can only hope!

Another twist I’m hoping we get to see is a piggyback off of Beach House new style, with the clips being more constant outside of just the live events. It could provide some really fun side content to see the trouble and hijinks they’re all getting into. With these freakin cabin assignments trickling out, it leaves the door open for lots of surprises if they do decide to have socials follow them around camp.

I for sure am biased on this being a Comrade, ANUS boy, and new Inferno(Dante) member, but the cabin of Nick, KB, Danny, Dante, and Zah is an all-timer. That’s the lunch table you wanna sit at 10 times out of 10. The different convos with Dante’s conspiracies, KB’s Wikipedia power, and the pot-stirring abilities of Danny & Nick… oh, and let’s not forget wildcard king Zah...this cabin could break Beach House numbies, a social person needs to be a fly on the wall for us!

Even if they aren’t your favs, don’t worry, because with basically the whole Chicago office headed there now, you can rest assured whether you are Family, AWL, Tatriot (After Dark), Comrade, ANUS Boy, Gooners, or just crushing on the TikTok girls, there’s going to be something for you at Camp Barstool. So make sure not to miss a beat and tune in starting… well, hopefully tonight with some clips, but officially on the Yak tomorrow for the opening ceremonies & draft.
