Super Bowl week is here, with so many Barstool personalities & celebrities headed west as the New England Patriots look to extend their championship lead Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. But there may be something even better happening before the big day, as Barstool After Dark with Ohio’s Tate presents a night of football with cash & prizes for all, including Stoolies, on the line in the Barstool After Dark Bowl. The winning team is taking home a whopping 35K, making this one of the week’s main events without a doubt!
As with every Super Bowl week, Barstool is giving us a week full of great live events, The Yak, Mostly Sports, Barstool Live, & a football event of the year in the Barstool After Dark Bowl presented by After Dark. Four teams will be drafted live on The Yak & then compete in a flag football tournament Tuesday night. The official list of Barstool personalities & even celebrity participants continues to grow for the four teams to choose from. Though we have to wait for The Yak until the teams become clear, we do have the four captains who will be tasked with building championship rosters.
Dave Portnoy
The man knows championships. All he does is win as he closes in on another trophy this Sunday. This experience will prove crucial, though will his allegiances help or hurt the draft process?
Big Cat
Of course he won’t just be coaching, as he plans to lace them up & lead by example. His drafting will be, as always, unorthodox. The question is, will he choose talent or content?
PFT
With experience at the professional level as a kicker, he holds quite the advantage. You have to expect him to be playing as well with his on-field background.
Brandon Walker
We know for sure BFW will be coaching only. We also have to wonder how he will draft, similar to Portnoy, there is a list you assume of “not draftable” in his eyes.
The draft will be Tuesday live on The Yak, setting the stage for the Barstool Bowl. To help out the coaches & Stoolies, I’ve created the big board of Barstool employees for the draft. There are some easy picks you’d assume right out of the gate based on backgrounds or abilities. Though again, we’ve thought this in past drafts & instead got wildcards from the jump.
The clear one has to be Katic, considering he has played most recently & his knowledge of the game. We saw it throughout Indiana’s run to the natty, calling out plays & formations left & right. He could be the key to victory. After him, you have a run of former college athletes in T-Bob & Titus, who also bring unique attributes to a team. Titus expects to be the most sought-after QB with his high school experience.

Earlier today I acquired some inside scouting, spotted a new prospect shooting up the boards: Jaguar Cheah. Some feel his flair overrides his play, but he’s here to prove the haters wrong yet again. He sits sandwiched around former collegiate athletes like Ebo, KB, Malasek, WSD, Max, & Francis.
As the draft gets into the later rounds, there are definitely going to be some steals in Tate, Hank, & Chief as well. One player reportedly falling as we speak is Nikki Smokes. Many scouts have told me the tape from his Juggernauts run is very concerning. His performance was suspect, & even the term “choker” was thrown out.
Here’s the coolest spin to the night, Stoolies will be able to join in on the fun! DraftKings has set up a FREE pool to win MONEY. Ohio’s Tate explains it all as you can take your shot at predicting the night in the Barstool After Dark Bowl. Then just when you think the night can’t get better, you hear about the broadcast crew of Jon Gruden, Nick Turani, & Barstool Eddie!

The Barstool Bowl is your jump start to a week of Barstool live events you won’t want to miss. Ohio’s Tate & Barstool After Dark have done it again, this week at an earlier time too, 7 PM ET / 4 PM PT. Also tune in early for Dave Portnoy’s “Poop Race” starting 30 minutes before. We’ve got a night of great competition & content for the ages.
