Barstool After Dark: An Idol in the Haystack

WE ARE BACK! After the holiday week off, no worry After Dark stoolies, your Tuesday night fun has returned. This time with some very interesting guests with it all on the line. Ohio's Tate is turning back the clock on this special night, as DraftKings Sportsbook opens in Missouri. We have an ode to the farmlands of the Midwest as we are looking for a needle in the haystack (I can stereotype Midwest & farming, I grew up on a farm, so no harm no foul here).
For those not as dialed in: with the new sportsbook opening up in Missouri, Barstool has decided to do an “Idol” competition to hire a Missouri sports insider to cover everything Missouri sports & betting content. An opportunity that brought 7 contestants to Chicago this week. To lead it all off, of course, in Yak fashion, they turned to the wheel & Steven Cheah to cut one person right away. Now throughout the week they will make their way through the Barstool office gauntlet, trying to survive back to the Yak for the final decision.
Ohio's Tate, Mintzy, & the After Dark team have decided to not only bring back a fan favorite but also something that could be a little more familiar to Midwesterners. They will be hiding 5 needles throughout the haystack, with 6 contestants looking. If you aren't quite the mathematician, that leaves one odd person out at the end of the show. Though of course it wouldn't be After Dark without a twist or punishment in the air, as Tate teased possible wrinkles as the needles begin to be found.
I'll add this as well, it would be wise to watch Monday's Yak as the contestants introduced themselves, and then follow it up with the Producers Bowl. This will give you some insight into how they interact in a content format. As maybe you begin to root for your favorites. Also thanks to Pick6 Alyssa, below are all of their X accounts in one place for you(in the thread you'll see she finds "Greg's"). All the contestants had their moments on the Yak I will add that, but I'm going to leave the picking of favorites to the chats own liking.
Damn actually I gotta say Greg, or Josh, or Gregory is an early Dana Beers favorite, & tweeted this gem today...
After Dark will be a great barometer to see how they handle live streams with a chat for or even against them, as we all know you don't always give out winners & people can get on you hard & fast. So it will be interesting to see how they handle the stress of the chat & potentially the person left without a needle & shown the door.
This is peak drama here people, as we see 6 individuals fighting for their dream job of working for Barstool Sports, an opportunity I'm sure many of us would dream of, heck including this blogger!
