If the Giants Draft Sanders, We Riot

In a recent report from SNY, Joe Schoen says that Sanders "checks all the boxes". And we are going to listen to this buffoon? The same guy that signed Daniel fucking Jones and sent Saquon packing? Get out of here.
No real Giant's fan wants Shedeur Sanders and the BS that will come with him and Deion. It is absolutely ABSURD that anyone in this organization thinks this guy is going to be the next great franchise quarterback for the New York Giants.
This guy has the right idea. Did he create a lot of hype around Colorado? Or was it just because his dad brought him there and he had the best player in college on his team since he started playing in college?
Let's be real here, Shedeur Sanders isn't THAT bad, but he's also not the answer. He for sure isn't a first round pick, let alone at number 3 overall.
But he wasn't that polarizing of a player in college and if he was as good as the Giants think he is, Colorado would have been way better this season in that conference and should have been in the playoff, especially with a Heisman winner on the roster. Oh and wasn't Shedeur a Heisman finalist too? Yeah, this guy is a complete fraud and should not be drafted higher than a late second-round pick. Let's hope the combine exposes him.
The Giants, and most fans, really want this guy as their franchise player? No. Please no. Do we need a change under center? Yes we do. But this guy is not the answer.
If given the opportunity as GM, I could fix this Giants team in 2-3 years tops, and here's how:
1) This years draft. If we don't have the option for either Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter at 3, lets drop down and get some capital. Do we need a QB? Yes, but none of these top three prospects - Sanders, Ward and Dart - are the answer. Let's take either Hunter or Carter at three to bolster the defense or use draft capital to trade for a veteran bridge QB in Cousins, Winston or even Darnold - ORRRR try for Bazooka Joe from the Pats considering he is their third stringer and will never play.
2) DRAFT OR SIGN FUCKING OFFENSIVE LINEMAN. For the love of God, it's been the same damn problem for the last decade with this team. No QB or RB (point proven with Saquon) can succeed behind this atrocious line. I don't think we had the same line start for more than 2 straight games in 2024 and to be quite honest, I don't think I could even name one starter other than Neal, and I don't even know if he was healthy to end the season. It's insane how bad it is and for how long it's been this way. I'm just a regular ole Joe Schmoe sitting on a couch every Sunday and can see this garbage from a mile away so how in the hell don't our scouts see it? Do something about it.
3) We might have to consider trading Dexter Lawrence. This might not be what fans want to hear, but he's by far our best player and it's only a matter of time before Schoen runs him out of the building so now might be a good time to capitalize on an All-Pro before it's too late. We could probably get a second rounder for him at the very least. Again, not ideal but it could be necessary.
4) Since we won't win more than 4-5 games in 2025 (bookmark this and save it for later), lets ACTUALLY tank correctly this time and get ourselves set up for the draft. And if we don't have more than 3 wins by week 9 (which we won't), get ready for 2026. Do not play Nabers at all. Make up a fake injury like a dislocated spleen that turned into a broken eye socket or something. And then we sit back, relax and check tankathon to see we have the number one overall pick in the 2026 draft and then pray to the football Gods that we hear the greatest sentence our franchise has heard since the 2018 NFL Draft. I need to hear Roger Goodell say "With the first pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the New York Giants Select Arch Manning, Quarterback, Texas".
ARCH MANNING COME ON DOWNNNNN.
A Manning should not be able to move like this, but boy does Arch have some wheels. Not only that but this kid can sling it. Texas probably would have won the national title if they played him over Ewers but we will never know.
Now that is just the start of the fix but that's year one right there. Year two will be the unveiling of Arch Manning (if I had it my way) with what will probably be a new head coach. Although I would not fire Daboll, maybe move him to the offensive coordinator and hire a new coach, but Joe Schoen has to be on the hot seat, especially if this draft doesn't go well. And Mr. Mara, you have to look to sell the team soon too. You're old and out of touch and don't know how to change with the times.
Because of the fact that no matter what we do in 2025 as far as the draft and free agency, fans have to realize we are going to suck again. So build the roster in free agency and the draft to set us up for 2026. The team that we field is not going to be good. We have to go out there and try to win a few games, be competitive and look even slightly better than we did in 2024.
This was by far the worst season the Giants have had in my existence as a fan, and I know I shouldn't complain with two Super Bowl wins over the Patriots, but this was the first season that I don't think I watched a complete game all season long. I just cannot believe the product that they put on the field. And drafting Sanders is only going to make things worse, especially with the package of "Coach Prime" that comes with him.
For the record I would love to be proven wrong with Sanders. All I know is I cannot watch another 17 games like I witnessed in 2024.
