DON'T GIVE UP ON BRONNY QUITE YET

ree

Bronny James was drafted with the 55th overall pick in the most recent NBA draft with much criticism coming along with it. After all, he averaged only 5 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists in his lone year at USC. It also doesn't help that his dad is someone by the name of oh yeah...LEBRON JAMES. Arguably the greatest NBA player of all time. But again this was the FIFTY-FIFTH pick. The most notable player this century drafted in that spot is Patty Mills. But in case people forgot, Bronny missed a good portion of time due to a heart condition causing a health scare. This dude just turned 20 and people are writing him off. He's lucky to be playing basketball let alone be alive and he's accomplishing his dreams of playing in the NBA. Due to him missing time, it seemed all he needed to finally just get some playing time under his feet. And boy is he doing that in the G-League:

In just 3 G-League games he's scored 30 twice, averaging 23/6/7 with 2 steals, and is shooting 46% from three on EIGHT attempts per game. Some of my pre-draft comparisons for Bronny were Kris Dunn and an athletic Jevon Carter. As I said, he's only 20 years old and this is in his blood. Don't write him off quite yet.
