As my end-of-the-year series continues to pay tribute to the year 2025 gave us, I am turning back to more of a Barstool-centric review & though Santa has come & gone, he may have left a bag of goodies for me to still give out to all the stoolies. As we begin to countdown the hours till 2026, it is only right to take a close look at Barstool's best moment(s) of the year.
Of course it is hard to pinpoint that one moment that all encompasses (big words may be the thing of 2026?) what Barstool gave us in 2025. So I may have put out the bat signal to get a little help on this one. If you want the best moments, why not go to the source am I right? As an extra gift as the season of giving closes out... Here are some of your favorite Barstool personalities & their Best of the Best from the past year.
Jake Malasek
Thank you as always to Jake, he is always down to help out the breakdown crew. Malasek when asked right away jumped to the QB Class. Being Coach Gruden's right-hand man, you can't be too surprised, as he got an inside look with one of the greatest coaches of our generation working with top-talent QBs on a weekly basis. As we chatted more, I asked if one specifically stuck, even throwing out Chandler Morris. He came back though with former Ohio State national champion & current Steeler Will Howard.
For those who may be unaware of Gruden's QB Class, it is must-see stuff. Especially for those who aren't big college football fans but are diehard into the NFL, it's a great get-to-know bridge of some of the big to even no-name QBs coming into the league.
Mooooooook!
Huge shoutout to Mook for helping out the blog. I honestly was so sure he was going to come back with Richelle Ryan on Mook Can't Sleep, even any of his Beach House live shows, or Naming Things with the boys in more recent months. Of course, I struck out somehow as he hit me with Bush Gaming's first win, as they are set up for a HUGE 2026 as well.
Though I took a huge miss, it does show you the great year Mook had as he really found his niche in the Barstool Sports universe. We are all happy for Mook, of course, & ready for what he is bringing to us in 2026 after his big push forward in 2025.
WBR (White Boy Rick)
I got a huge bonus from WBR as he gave me not only his top moment, but made sure to throw in that he is a big fan of the blog (this may be my top moment of 2025!!). After that though, he gave one hell of a moment, so niche it's perfect Barstool.
There was no hesitation here either, his quote: "easy pick gotta be the hot dog in the ceiling. Not a huge moment but the way everyone rallied together and got involved was so fun. Just perfectly sums up the Chicago office and why I love working there so much." As I read his message, it all shot back to me as well.
The freaking HOT DOG! This is why you go to the source! With Barstool having so many memorable moments, sometimes these moments could slip through the cracks… but not on WBR's watch! Thank you for bringing this one back to us!
As an Indiana & Chicago Bear guy, WBR had a banner fan year, but also his contributions on the social team for B.A.D. have been immeasurable. How big will he go in 2026... literally on the Yak...How big?
Ohio's Tate
Tate continues to be the man as well. Of course, all the guys are great for contributing, But Tate is a great friend of the blog for sure! Now it wouldn't be a favorite Tate moment without some food involved somehow… sorry Tate, had to do it, ya know it's all love though! Soooo what moment, you ask? Oh, just from the famous Doug Doug Challenge, as he says: what a moment with Big Cat, Katic, Max, & myself puking all over the place while a police officer looked on ready to hand us all DUI slips on the way to jail, only for him to find out we are just four grown ass men who ate/drank too much fast food.
One of the best Barstool After Darks of the year hands down. Also, if you haven't already seen it, Tate gave us his Top 5 B.A.D.'s of the year (Here it is: https://www.barstoolbreakdown.com/post/barstool-after-dark-2025-s-best-of-the-best). I'm sure after this one you all want more of his top moments, and we got them for ya. Tate had a hell of a year with After Dark, & as he goes into his 2nd year with B.A.D., we are all excited to see what is ahead.
Danny Conrad
Danny C, the investigator, & known NOT virgin of course cause of 2025. When talking about BIG years, the one & only Conrad has to be near the top! His best-of-the-best moments are plentiful — full-time Yakker, prime investigation services, Dante the Don Whisperer, & of course Beach House star. Not only did he come out of the show with a better half, but also a new internet army in Conrad's Comrades. Danny's top moment as it should be is no surprise in my opinion, as he said his Beach House experience as a whole.
When it gave him & us stoolies so many memorable moments, I don't blame him one bit for giving the full experience, even with his public urination situation & his & soon-to-be-at-that-time girlfriend's family seeing all over the internet their most ummm intimate moments to keep this PG-13.
If there was a Breakout Player of the Year award for Barstool, my vote would go to Danny Conrad as the masses of stoolies finally got their heads on straight and joined the club of Team Danny, now known as Conrad's Comrades. Though it also could be he was finally recognizable because they finally didn't blur his face too!
Nick Turani
We see Nicky, we gotta Clicky! Who would have thought a first-year employee would blow up like Nick did this year? From his work in the booth alongside Jon Gruden, to Brandon Walker, being a major piece on The Yak, to his podcast ANUS(A New Untold Story) Naming Things with KB No Swag. Now when asked, he thought this happened within the last year… that's when I thought to myself he just celebrated his first full year with the company, so it had to have. SO don't even go back & fact-check any dates or anything… it's a waste of time TRUST ME.
Anyways, Nick without hesitation went to the Tunnel, saying not only a favorite this past year but discovering it is considered one of his favorite all-time. With it being such a huge part of the show well of course until Jerry O'Connell got it shut down. Another Easter egg of the discovery was the only person who knew about it… yep, the one & only Chef Donny. Talking about breakout years earlier, he is also on that short list & I'll get to ya here in a moment!
It wouldn't be a Coach Day blog if I didn't slip in a couple of my own top moments in Barstool for 2025:
Chef Donny Christmas Spelling Bee — some may call it recency bias as Chef gave us many to choose from in what critics are calling this the Year of Donny. Well that is an opinion they are entitled to, BUT I laughed so hard at not only his misspelling of a simplistic food item as a chef, but also his confidence when trying to fix it into another clear mishap.
Barstool Camp — this whole thing was a masterpiece start to finish. From the picking of teams to Dana Beers' "subjective vs objective" debacle, & all along the way we just get the amazing Jerry O'Connell announcing/reffing the whole thing. Also not to forget an all time game of werewolf with a stellar cast. This is quickly becoming one of Barstool's best yearly traditons.
Brandon Walker's Funeral — Shockingly the birthplace of Barstool Beach House. It was content that just kept giving us even more. This is one where BFW deserves his flowers with the twists & turns, while also the fact that his incredible bit led to Beach House & all of the Dante, Danny, & Katic moments in the future… PERFECTION!
Again I have to give a huge huge HUGE thank you to all of my guys helping out & giving us their top moments in Barstool 2025, the insider look is just another example of how unique this company is. Now with a new year the possibilities are endless, with new horizons again being reached by this company as the Netflix deal begins. A really dope step forward again for Dave Portnoy, Big Cat, Ryan Whitney, & all of the company. A media titan like no other. As it grows, it still keeps its roots that keep all stoolies coming back for more, as we all will with new excitement in 2026.
