Can we just play Calgary all 84?
Welp, last night was ummmm well something to say the least, Kraken fans. Now you could sit back and rationally think this through, realizing one goal was due to a broken stick, another was a deflection off a skate, & a third was an odd bounce right to a Knight, BUT we are fans and rational conclusions are not our thing! Instead, why don't we just play the Flames again?
Alright, so maybe playing the Flames all 82 is out of the realm of possibility. I get that, but why can't we just try it out? Maybe even compromise with 42, or we will even entertain 20–25. Though in all seriousness, last night really did suck after not only two great wins, but a promising road showing against playoff contenders, the Edmonton Oilers. But you see, we may not need to hit any panic buttons or begin to fear this was the team all the pundits expected that showed up last night.
Maybe, & just maybe, now stick with me here as I am spitballing this shit... it was a bad game against a really freakin' good team? Look, we can't expect there to be no lumps. When you look at this roster, while yes we got some vets, the core is still very young and they are gonna have rough moments. Still, this is not a doom & gloom type of loss. Yet all I see online is Kraken fans ready to jump off the Space Needle headfirst!
Let's take a chill pill and a reality check of, "Hey, we may not be quite ready for the big time of Stanley Cup favorites like Vegas, but our guys still have some damn fight in them." If Brandon Montour can drop the gloves, then so can we for our guys. Though I gotta ask, just to double-check one last time... Are we sure we can't face Calgary, or even just Dustin Wolf...I'll take him for the 80 left?
