Barstool After Dark On The Road: Mintzy In the Fiesta Bowl

2026 is off to a hot start for Ben Mintz as Ole Miss has made a run in the College Football Playoffs into the semifinals at the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona. Now for those who just think it’s yet again Mintz finding a way to win, this is much, much more trust me. No longer will we just be getting grainy or blurry videos of Mintzy hugging random guys, walking on a sideline waving randomly, barely hearing him give a preview with a field in the back, or day-late game reactions. To the rescue...Ohio’s Tate is taking the initiative to give us full & unfiltered Mintzy in the wild!

With the College Football Playoffs heading to Arizona, so is Mintzy & his personal wildlife reporter, Ohio’s Tate. Over the years we have been given glimpses & sneak peeks into the life of Ben Mintz. Hearing stories of late nights, 3-day benders of Widespread Panic shows, & opening bobbleheads courtside. His antics in short flashes have always delivered when he is in his natural habitat scheming his way around the country. Now Ohio’s Tate is going to give us the insider look as they head to see Ole Miss try to get into the national championship Thursday night.

Tate will be documenting from the airport in Chicago Wednesday morning at 3:45 a.m. till Friday morning, so yes, we will be getting 48 hours straight of Mintzy. Even earlier now possibly with Mintz looking for a sleep over...of course for content. We will get to see how he bounces from place to place, meal to meal, & his true connections to the Ole Miss Rebels. The savvy southern hustler is ready to take in Scottsdale...& the women there apparently. We are already off to a hot start, of course, in pure Ben Mintz fashion.

Our guy Danny Conrad calling it on The Yak Friday as he questioned Mintz’s ability to get a partner’s stay taken care of. Not even five minutes after Tate books his flight to the Grand Canyon State & trouble hits just as Conrad predicted. All of this leading to one of the great quotes of the new year in the first week: “you misunderstood I get it.” YES!! We are already off to the races in 2026 for Barstool Sports. ’Cause of course the veteran teacher in Tate wouldn’t know how to act around kids, while Mintz of course would. But let’s not forget the mansion has a lazy river, so endless possibilities on content with that.

This is what we have all been looking for since day one with Mintz at Barstool, the true answers to how he functions through all of his nearly impossible-looking adventures. At last the mysteries could be solved! From World Series of poker tournaments to College World Series trips, he is always the man on a mission to live out the best life he can.
