Barstool After Dark: Dingers Derby

Alright, so I’m going to do my best on this one, I’m playing a road game from Scotland...

Anyway, Barstool After Dark, coming off a national championship in record time, now heads out to the diamond as the dog days of summer have arrived. It is time to hit some DINGERS!

This year will be a little different from years past, when we have seen different home run derby formats. Instead, we will see something in the realm of knockout in basketball, as 8 competitors will be dwindled down until only one is left standing!

Now, here comes the catch (could be a pun intended...): the 8 will not be alone in this challenge. Tate and Lucas are allowing them to be joined by literally anyone on the planet... that’s a quote straight from Ohio’s Tate himself! So, this leaves Tate, Big Cat, PFT, Max, Ebo, WSD, Doitche... and a player to be named later as our team captains.

Here is the thing: the dudes on that list have some major connections, and it is the MLB All-Star break too... which makes you think. Still, here are my top 3 "shoot for the stars" possible teammates:

1. Josh Allen

Allen would so easily fit into the After Dark world. His quick wit could easily crumble a chat that has reigned as champions for so long.

2. Anthony Rizzo

Another dude that would just vibe the whole way. He already has so many connections with the Stool, and getting to watch him hit bombs for hours would be so dope.

3. Jerry O’Connell

We NEED him! NEED IT! Max, Big Cat, or PFT has to pull the trigger. O’Connell on After Dark may change the whole game! His appearance at Barstool Camp was legendary, but this could even top it!

This stream is going to be bananas no matter who they choose to bring in as their partners. But before the tangent of who that might be goes completely off the rails, I have taken the time to give you my top four contenders, along with their strengths and weaknesses for this challenge:

1. Ebo

For obvious reasons, as he has shown the ability to dominate…or at least hang in the majority of the athletic competitions throughout his time at Barstool. Though, as you can see, height could be a problem.

2. Max

The man can hit dingers! Also, let’s not forget he could be loaded up on some caffeine as well. The big worry, though, has to be endurance, without a doubt!

3. WSD

You know the confidence will be there for Dave. You then mix that with his baseball background, and you have a true contender in the making.

4. Tate

Yes, we are all worried about the "Spectate" meter there, but we also know who controls the rules... Lucas. So, Tate has to be a contender.

Well, with this week's After Dark moving over to Wednesday, you literally have ZERO excuses to miss this one, folks. Wednesday is the worst sports night of the year, get your ass over to YouTube and watch the boys hit some damn dingers and roast them in the chat all night long. Wednesday on Barstool After Dark!
