In a world of Pardon My Takes, Spittin Chiclets, & Yaks, it is at times hard to find the time in a day to watch all that the Barstool Universe gives us. With new shows dropping from talented people so often, things fall through the cracks of the social media hole we live in. I am here to give you another nudge into 3 shows on the newer side that you have to know are appointment "television."
Doing the Most – Chef Donny, KB, & Nick Turani
Still a very new concept with only a handful of episodes, this is the perfect watch any day of the week, and usually only about 30–45 minutes, so just the right length for a lunch break watch. If you grew up on Discovery & Travel Channel, this has the vibes of MythBusters & Pawn Stars with the fingerprints of the masterful crew of Nick, Donny, & KB. This show has gotten better every episode; if you are missing their shopping network shows, this is the perfect new show to fill the void. Then you throw in Donny, who just throws the perfect lobs for KB & Nicky one-liners. At this point, somehow the last episode still only hits 65k views when it should be an easy 6 figures. Let's get this show's budget through the roof, and the possibilities are endless.
Shrinkage – Mikey Bets, Danny Conrad, & Doitche
Just seeing these three names together in my mind is a true "ball knowers know" type of shit. This show needs to be sent to YouTube platinum ASAP. Mikey Bets has stories that you never see coming with an anger problem that may have been caught from Frank the Tank, and we then have call-ins that can go in any direction at a moment's notice. Let's also not forget the Doitche effect as he continues to peel back layers for the stoolie faithful. OH, & I haven't even mentioned Danny Conrad's ability to not only uncover office drama, but give perfect millennial insights into topics ranging from the dating world to Midwest living!
MicroPod – Hannah Montoya
This is a non-negotiable watch. Don't sit here & tell me "oh I don't have time" or "I'm just a sports guy"... STOP. You are just embarrassing yourself. Hannah does a great job of giving the people what they want: a quick snap of anywhere from 5–15 minutes you can listen to or watch as you eat breakfast or take a dump. Also, she gives us everything from famous athletes to our favorite Barstool personalities. MicroPod is a great idea & such a great snapshot, as Montoya is an elite interviewer. We also need to be excited and ready for her new show coming out soon with Reed, look out for the promo/preview of that on here.
At times as stoolies, we do get stuck in our lanes of the Stool or we are just torn between picking our mainstays instead of trying some new content due to a lack of free time. All of that is understandable, but with these three shows, there is no excuse. They give you some of your favorites in Barstool mixed with new & fresh content. Let's not forget: if we want to continue to see our favorites, we have to support their new endeavors. If you haven't already, take some time this weekend to check out all three. If you already have, give them a share, subscribe, or like as we give them the love they deserve.
