ZAGS GOT DUDES: DIOP Commits!

CUE THE MUSIC! The candles were in full effect for this one! According to multiple reports, including Zags insider Andy Patton, Massamba Diop is a Gonzaga Bulldog! This means Mark Few has now gone 2-for-2 with his top targets in the portal! ZAGS GOT DUDES!

For those who don't know Diop, he is a 7'1", 230-pound center that will pair oh-so-nicely next to Braden Huff this upcoming winter. As a Sun Devil, he averaged 13 & 6, and he already projects as a potential lottery pick in 2027. He has great touch around the basket, and his defense is what could really change the landscape of the upcoming season for the Zags. This is all before he hits the big-man factory that is Spokane.  

Though many reports had him favoring St. John's, which was projected to have a bigger NIL package waiting for him in NY, you’d have to think it was the Zags' success with big men at the next level that was the deciding factor for Diop. If he wants a long-lasting career in the NBA, it's hard to ignore seeing Sabonis, Chet, Rui, Olynyk, and even a handful of guards getting multiple contracts in the league.

For Zags fans, the vibes are fully back on as the Pac-12 era has started with a HUGE bang. Now the attention turns to Ethan Copeland to fill that last hole for a sharpshooter.
