Who is Barry Morris?

There’s been a lot of buzz this week surrounding a unknown but highly credible figure tied to the Barstool universe. A mysterious Los Angeles resident named Barry Morris. The chatter broke out after former Barstool personality Jeff Nadu pulled off a secretive and successful flight from the Baltimore area to Las Vegas, which triggered a full-on meltdown from none other than Rico Bosco.

This was a blackout rant, due to the belief that Nadu had been placed on the government’s no-fly list years ago. That belief originated from a single tweet by Morris, who claimed Nadu was added to the no-fly list by federal authorities. Bosco took the tweet at face value, never questioning its validity, and pushed the narrative publicly for years.

Then came Monday. Nadu was spotted confidently strutting out of LAX’s Terminal 7, gate 70B, which confirmed once and for all that the no-fly list claim was bogus. With that, Morris’ credibility crumbled. Bosco then declared Morris “dead to him,” both figuratively and, quite possibly, literally.

So who exactly is Barry Morris and how did he become one of Rico Bosco’s greatest nemeses?

Barstool’s Jersey Jerry shared some insight on Morris, claiming he had a close relationship with him until April 2022, when Morris abruptly vanished. Since then, Morris has gone completely dark with no social media posts, no texts, no signs of life. Jerry believes Morris was likely in his 60s and may have died in the spring of 2022. Bosco agrees.

Together, Jerry and Bosco describe Morris as Nadu’s most obsessive hater. According to Jerry, Morris sent him messages and even had direct phone conversations, sharing details about Nadu’s personal life, including the location of his apartment complex. Morris was said to have lived in Texas, New York City, and eventually settled in Los Angeles.

Despite the limited information available, the legend of Barry Morris has only grown. At this point, there are three theories about who he really was:

1. Barry Morris was indeed a real person. A relentless Nadu critic operating from a burner account who eventually passed away due to old age or health complications.

2. Morris was a real individual who reached a personal breaking point, realized his obsession with Jeff Nadu was unhealthy, and chose to walk away from the internet and Barstool entirely. If that’s true, he could very well be alive today, quietly living somewhere in Los Angeles as you read this.

3. The Alter Ego Theory: The most bizarre theory is that Barry Morris was actually an alter ego of Rico Bosco himself. With the rise of Joey Yanks, who has since taken over the role of Bosco’s strange side persona, Morris may have simply been retired and erased from Bosco's memory bank all together.

Regardless of which theory holds true, one thing is certain. Barry Morris isn’t coming back. Whether he’s six feet under, working a nine-to-five job in LA, or was metaphorically murdered by Joey Yanks, Morris is dead in the eyes of the Ryders and defeated by the stubby Jeff Nadu.
