Week 11 Preview: Dozen Trivia

The race to the playoffs is heating up as the bubble continues to get more and more crowded after yet another major upset this past week. The Ice Dawgs have now put themselves firmly on the bubble, with so many others still trying to break free from this traffic jam between the 8th and 13th seeds. The teams at the top, though, continue to separate themselves, with the Experts and Ziti showing the trivia world yet again that the road to the title leads through them.
Tuesday Night
The pivotal 8/9 matchup! This one could go either way as both teams need it badly. The Grinders have made quick work of two lower-ranked squads recently and could use a good "power points" type of win. Chicago, meanwhile, is ready to wash away the drubbing they were just handed by Ziti. This feels like a "win and you’re all but in" type of match for both teams. The big matchup to watch has to be Cheah vs. Frank the Tank, they both have the ability to affect matches every time, you just don't always know how.

The Difference Maker: Will Jake Malasek’s all-around pop culture knowledge provide the edge needed?
The Tank Factor: Where is Frank the Tank’s mind? His Mets are spiraling, so can Coach Gruden keep his top man focused?
Firepower: Chicago needs more from White Sox Dave and Chief, if not, they just don't have the firepower to hang.

Thursday Night
For the second match of the week, you may smell something in the air... it’s called desperation! Both of these teams need a win BAD. The Po'Boys are coming off a bone-crushing loss to a Hoagies team that had just taken the worst loss in Dozen history. We are truly going to see if Minty is lava-hot now. As for the Red Team, their captain may be a bit off his game as he takes over the Vegas nightlife, carrying the show without a doubt. A loss here for either of these teams all but seals their fate of no postseason play.

The Vegas Variable: Will Dante The Don be in a semi-drunk, perfect spot to take over the match?
The Breakout: Will T-Bob finally have that breakout match everyone has been expecting from the jump?
Niche Dominance: Who takes College Sports? This may be the difference-maker in the end with two solid teams in that category.

Prediction: Po'Boys 13, Red Team 10
Sunday Night Showdown
We have ourselves a Final Four-type match in our midst. While the Markettes have not had a marquee win yet as a new franchise, we know they have the ability to take down anyone in the league without blinking. BUT the Experts aren't just anyone; they are currently making this league look like a joke as they make easy work of anyone in their path. Nick and KB are going to have to be on their game, or else they will just be another passer-by as the Experts look toward a repeat.
Keys:
The Steals: Nick and KB have to get multiple steals if given the chance. This is how you stay with the Experts or pull off the upset.
The Music Battle: PFT may need to come up big in Music, as the Markettes are a very strong music squad.
The Mental Game: Does Brandon lose focus a bit playing against three of his main boys? This could be something to monitor.

The races are getting more crowded as the cream of the crop flexes their muscles; the Jeff D. Lowe script is coming together perfectly just as we approach postseason play.
