Week 10: Dozen Trivia Preview

As the dust settles from an all-time match this past Sunday, we go into the heat of April with playoff spots still up for grabs. After a week in which we saw a former champion in Minihane re-insert themselves into the elite convo, a big upset has sent the tail end of the playoff rankings into a whirlwind. One can only wonder what we have in store this week.

Tuesday Night

#7 Ryders (2-2) vs. #1 Experts (4-1)

The Ryders have a HUGE chance sitting in front of them as they take on the heavy favorites and defending champs, the Experts. The number 1 ranked team in the Dozen has looked unbeatable over their past couple of matches, but the Ryders feel ready to show they too belong in the Final Four conversation. Rico & KFC will NEED to be in the game if they want any chance to pull this upset. Ryder fans feel Year 2 could become real special if those two can get up to Keegs' level.

Keys

1. Rico will have to hit college basketball & football. Maybe even snag a steal if the Experts trip up.

2. Keegs must hit every pop culture question, or else Fran may be there for the steals.

3. Will Brandon be caught up in a Rico bit? This could cause distractions!

Thursday Night

#16 Ice Dawgs (0-3) vs. #11 Sabre (1-3)

MUST WIN for Sabre. After the Po'Boyz fell to the Hoagies last week, the bubble has expanded, and with Sabre's one big win holding them up, they need to start stacking Ws. A loss, on the other hand, may kill their playoff chances for good. As we know, you never know what to expect with the Dawgs; they could be three savants or not get one answer right. That is the beauty of the Dawgs. Sabre better be ready for whatever is about to hit them.

Keys

1. Will the Dawgs get enough food questions to take control of the game?

2. Liam will need to take control of the college sports categories.

Sunday Night Showdown

#8 Chicago (2-2) vs. #3 Ziti (3-1)

We have a Dave-off on Sunday night, folks. But more so, this is another chance for a team to show they belong in the Final Four convo with a major upset. Chicago has solidified their playoff hopes lately but now has the shot to jump into the Final Four elite. The problem is they will be facing a mad Ziti squad coming off of a loss to the Booze Ponies. Ziti still feels like one of the few who can take down the Experts, which they did to start the season.

Keys

1. Steven Cheah. That is the key; how far he goes is how far Chicago goes.

2. The Ziti Double...they have been jumping around with their doubles so far.

3. Does WSD try to cheat? Big match, been a while; feels like it's coming.

There are two really big chances this week for the Ryders & Chicago to not only all but clinch the playoffs, but also show they are true title contenders.
