The Sixers hit rock bottom again as dumpster fire of a season rolls on

The Sixers’ are a complete dumpster fire.

On Monday night, they held a players only meeting after they fell to 2-11 on the season.

Tyrese Maxey (who’s currently injured) called out Embiid in the players only meeting:

“In the meeting, Maxey challenged Embiid to be on time for team activities, calling out the former league MVP about being late ‘for everything’ and how it impacts the locker room, from other players to the coaching staff,” Charania reported.

It was reported that Embiid accepted the messages sent in the meeting but also “stated he is confused about what the 76ers are attempting to execute sometimes on the court.”

It’s wild that Tyrese Maxey is initiating this considering he’s injured and you have a team full of veterans like Pandemic P and Lowry. Maxey and Embiid have yet to share the floor together this year as well. Embiid was injured and serving a suspension before Maxey got injured.

The Sixers season has been plagued by injuries and drama. One positive would be rookie and Tiktok star Jared McCain who has been absolutely balling out and has serious ROTY contention. However, nothing was funnier than the outpouring of memes about McCain making TikToks and dancing during the team meeting.

Besides McCain, the Sixers are absolute trash this year and one of the funniest stories in the NBA as a Clippers fan. Nothing makes me happier than the demise of Paul George and the thought of another team paying him 200$ million until he is 38 years old. The Clippers not paying him and instead using the money on some solid role players like Kris Dunn and Derrick Jones Jr ending up being such a massive win and Norman Powell can ball the fuck out as well.

Listen, I know the Clippers aren’t going to win the championship this year, but it is a massive win to not have to deal with the headache Paul George is and his cringe podcast.

In my opinion, the Sixers season is going down the drain fast and a true lesson in roster construction. Their roster is the oldest in the league and they just invested 200 million in an over the hill Paul George. Embiid is in his Suns Shaq phase and genuinely feels like basketball is the last thing on his mind. I don't even think tanking is in the convo right now considering the eastern conference SUCKS and they still could easily make the playoffs. They also owe their 2025 first-round pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder as long as it doesn't fall in the top six of the draft lottery.

I could see them just waiting it out and then being fairly aggressive at the trade deadline.

We will just have to wait and #TrustTheProcess
