Survivor 48: Episode 3 Recap

This was definitely the slowest start to an episode so far this season, which is actually a huge plus because this season has been BONKERS so far. But boy did that ending pack a punch.

I feel like we know absolutely nothing about anyone from the Purple and Orange tribes other than random facts about Mitch, Eva, Joe and David. This whole season, all the drama has come directly from the Green tribe and tonight's episode kept up with that same story line.

Other than David kind of giving us a glimpse of his life away from Survivor, living in a trailer with a girl who he wants to have children with - although that might not happen after slamming his balls on the one post in the challenge, almost immediately after for sure giving himself a concussion, I'm not sure that will happen for the jacked stunt man.

There were some WILD one-liners before anything important happened at the challenge or tribal.

Eva saying "I want to give Joe something special for being such a great guy" with that weird smile on her face - ok relax there girl, he could be your dad.

David worried about his muscle mass being out on the island, Mitch and Eva talking way too much about sending people home when they should have easily known they weren't losing that challenge - although definitely a close call with the Green tribe.

I do love the blindfolded challenges. People just fuckin themselves up running into the course, people screaming their heads off and getting into fights, just a great challenge all around. As per usual Purple dominates and wins again, Orange coming in second, thus sending Green to their third straight tribal which dominated the episode considering nothing else happened other than the journey so let's get into that.

They really need to stop these journeys. Especially the ones like this where it was entirely a game of chance. Justin got completely boned, but he didn't really have a choice on going, and not only that, but he couldn't have told anyone the truth there. Except, hindsight 20/20, tell the truth cause he went home anyway.

That Yatzee style journey was complete bullshit. Just rolling dice to determine your fate as to either lose your vote or get another vote? That's just insane.

So Justin loses his vote, Kamila gets another vote and Bianca loses her vote. Obviously the two that lost their votes have no choice but to lie about it, but considering the circumstances, it all makes sense.

Quick side note here - Thomas is going to win this game. That guy is a snake and he is playing his cards so damn well.

Into tribal council we go.

WILD tribal yet again with this Green tribe. It's been electric the entire time with them. No one likes one another, Sai is playing these idiots like a fiddle (especially you Cedrek), and Mary causing one of the craziest tribals I've ever seen.

No, Mary didn't have an idol, but her pulling out that shot in the dark and it actually working was fuckin crazy. Third time in it's history that it actually hit. Probably a literal 1% of all times used and it works to save her ass for at least another night.

But Cedrek might be the dumbest player in the history of Survivor. Having this come down to his hands to just pick someone to send home is insane. He voted Sai the entire time up until when he had to make the final call. This guy sucks. 0.0% chance to win the game and I cannot wait to see him skipping out on sending Sai home bit him in the ass starting next week.

I really wish they would have went to rocks here instead of just having Cedrek taking out Justin like that. Not only that, but poor Justin got shafted. But that lie was insane. I don't even remember it because it was that bad but damn it Justin you need to do something to save yourself there.

I still can't believe the official Survivor twitter page still hasn't tweeted anything since November of 2023. What are we doin here? No clips to show, can't find any.

But if you're new to this show, you picked a great season to start watching.

I really cannot wait until next week's tribe swap. I hope Cedrek goes home immediately and Sai follows right behind him. Guy has no balls and Sai is just a complete bully.
