Rediscovering America: A 250th Celebration

With America turning 250 this weekend, you may want to grill some burgers, catch a game of baseball, or watch fireworks, but to truly get into the spirit of '76, none of those will do justice. Instead, you need to get into the country's humble beginnings to understand the impact of 250 years. I can't think of any better way than to get the whole group on the couch & flip on Rediscovering America as they give you the truest inside look into the heart of Philly, the birthplace of our Declaration of Independence.

Wonton Don, Nick Turani, & introducing KB No Swag will be joined by Philadelphia-born veteran Barstool Kate in their newest adventure, as they will bring the spirit of '76 & America's 250th to all of our living rooms. Sometimes when such big events come up, you almost feel an anxiety in the need to properly celebrate such a momentous occasion, well, the Rediscovering crew is about to do all the work for ya in this America extravaganza! The addition of Philly native & war veteran Kate is such a unique twist as she will help guide the crew to the best of the best the city of brotherly love has to offer. ALSO COME ON ITS KATE! If you are new to the Rediscovering lore as we approach the 4th, I highly recommend immersing yourself into their past episodes as well to truly get a feel for the core of every corner of these great United States. As a history teacher myself, I have to say it's without a doubt a bizarro student project on acid at times, in the greatest way possible!

As they take on Philly, it is the perfect 4th kickoff, as it's a town that has kept its historic roots. You can be ready for anything from Philly sports to our founding fathers even making an appearance for the ages. Co-host Nick Turani even got a taste of that founding father wisdom in the 21st century: "My Ben Franklin I was paired with was the fucking man," as the team got into the reenactment side of history, a part of the show you won't want to miss, Trust me on this one. Even the Ben Franklins of today are still giving to the people of these United States, as in perfect Clicky fashion, him & Franklin tackle the wild world of marriage right before our eyes. Just like the founding fathers tried to build a bond between government & its people 250 years ago, today we the people are trying to build a life together.
