Portal Bound: Michigan State OL Gavin Broscious Enters

As the college football season closes out and we head into bowl & playoff season, we now get the newer treat of portal season as well, for players, coaches, and fans. Today, Barstool Breakdown got the scoop on Michigan State starting OL Gavin Broscious entering the transfer portal. The Big 10 starter & former 4-star recruit looks to be a major sought-after prize for many Power 4 schools. Currently 247 Sports has him listed as a 3-star transfer as of now with a grade of 85, though as we know, these can change quickly.

Broscious is a graduate student with 2 years still left in eligibility, with the graduate part being key as it opens up possibilities to so many more spots across the nation. He appeared in 11 games this season, starting 4 for the Spartans, including starting multiple games in 2024 as well.

During the 2025 season he was unbreakable in 485 snaps, including zero sacks allowed & no QB hits on 295 pass-block attempts. Add in only one penalty, and you’ve got a star OL hitting the portal, a position group you can never have enough of. We all know the trenches get real important in playoff pushes.

Standing 6'4", 308 pounds, Broscious is also very versatile across the line, something teams love to see. He showed the ability to handle a Big 10 gauntlet with games against USC, Indiana, Michigan, & Iowa. All those teams have NFL prospects across their DL, yet not one sack was given up by Broscious.

Being from Arizona and playing his high school ball at Desert Edge, there will for sure be speculation about a possible return home. Arizona State & Arizona may want to act fast, because after showing the ability to handle Big 10 ball (and weather) we have to assume Washington, Oregon, and other contenders could also be in the mix out west.

As a Notre Dame guy, I do recall an unofficial visit back in his prep days, so maybe the mutual interest could be rekindled yet again. either way he was offered from across the nation out of high school, and now after showing he can be the staple of your OL he will again be on many fans radars in 2026. Keep your eye close on Coach Day’s Twitter for any insights moving forward as Broscious begins his move through the portal.
