Nebraska Basketball with a Swing & a Miss

This past week, as I was watching some Big Ten after dark, I was entranced by the sight of Nebraska basketball. No, not because of their play on the court, but instead because of their look.

It seems we have a new contender for one of the worst college basketball jerseys of this century. I say "this century" because it's hard to compare the 1980s to this. For those old heads, I do apologize, but this is a 21st-century debate, and Nebraska has entered the chat with these disasters. Looks like a manufacturing screw-up, and they didn’t pull them out of the box until they got to the arena.

For those new to college basketball, jerseys have been somewhat of an experiment, to say the least, in recent history. Who could ever forget this era?

Adidas thought they had it all figured out with these, didn’t they? I will say, to not be a complete hater, the socks did rock and were so comfy.

Also, let’s not start thinking, “Oh, this dude is probably someone who only wants an old-school look and is a fun killer.” FALSE. I just call 'em how I see 'em.

For instance, these jerseys go so hard. The script look will always work on a basketball jersey.

Also, you can get away with the enlarged logo too. It’s just that Nebraska lost their minds with this one. It’s a miss, but that’s okay—just get back in the lab. As fans, we need to appreciate the misses as much as the hits. In the end, they at least provide a great tweet or story to tell.
