Katic Energy is Unmatched!

Last night we had an all-time stream for Barstool After Dark. The biggest takeaway for me was the recent hiring of Michael Katic. In his first true moment to shine as a Barstool employee, this dude ROCKS!

Yes, I know he’s been around for multiple streams sometimes in the background during Yak moments or reffing athletic comps but this was his first real chance to be front and center (no pun intended, seriously), and he was ELECTRIC!

For those who don’t know, Katic was recently part of Indiana Football’s rise to the College Football Playoff in 2024 a starting center, in fact, for the squad. Some experts even had him on draft boards going into this spring. Instead, Katic reached out to Barstool looking for a shot in the media business. Since he came on during the tail end of the football season, his chances to shine may have been somewhat limited. Still, his commitment has been clear. Throughout March Madness, he stuck with the streams and stepped up to help out with all kinds of antics around the office.

Even during all this, he’s mostly kept to himself quiet, calm. We’ve seen a couple of "out in the wild" clips of him, which were definitely hitters too. But last night, from my recollection, was his first true “star of the stream” moment, and this guy had me dying!

Of course, it’s tough to find time to sit and watch an 8+ hour stream if you missed it, so what you need to do is find the greatest hits...you will not be disappointed.

I REALLY hope someone from Barstool is reading when I say we need more of Katic in the mix. He’s genuinely funny with his mannerisms and passion. You can tell exactly why he was the starting center for a College Football Playoff team the dude just gets it!

Let’s see more of Katic this summer, especially when Barstool loves to throw together all kinds of fun, random stuff. Because this dude is all gas, no brakes running through a brick wall for the boys!
