It's Dart Day!

ree

Ladies, gentleman, and Giants fans across the country, IT'S DART DAYYYYYY!!!!!

If you're a Giants fan and aren't excited or at the very least, a little optimistic about this day, then you're more miserable than the rest of us already are.

As pumped as I am to see what the Giants have and what the future could hold for this once-proud organization, we have to be realistic and know that everything isn't going to be sunshine and rainbows in this first start (unless of course it is, and if that happens, then I will be alllllll the way back in).

Let's take a look at his preseason numbers.

Look, I get it. "Those are preseason numbers when he wasn't playing against starters." And yeah, you'd be right, but he could have also looked like complete dog shit in those games, and did he? Absolutely not, quite the opposite actually.

I mean, look at this guy. His confidence and swagger makes it so hard to root against, and again if you're a Giants fan and actually are rooting against this guy, you're a miserable human being.

Now listen, do I expect him to be perfect or actually win this game today? Not by any means at all. In fact, the only thing I really care about is seeing the offense look competent again and show the ability to move the ball up and down the field. If he doesn't have any turnovers and has closer to 200 yards passing and the Giants lose by one score? That's the dream.

The future of this organization is here, and I for one, am probably way more excited than I should be, but hey, anything is better than Russel Wilson. That guy is so washed it's not even funny. "Oh but he threw for almost 500 yards for the first time in however many years against Dallas." Yeah and your point is? Caleb Williams had a career day against Dallas and everyone and their mother was calling him a bust after his first year.

Point being, this isn't the Russ from the Seahawks days. There's a reason he's been on three teams in as many years, I mean he's just not been good over that span - total record of 13-16 - and only three passing touchdowns this year in three games? That's just not good enough. Not in the slightest.

All I know is that I'm excited as all hell to see this trio work together today. We could be in for a world of hurt for the next decade, but I like to think the future is here and today marks the day of a decorated career for a young Jaxson Dart.
