In its 2nd year of existence, Camp Barstool is going above and beyond! If you haven’t found time to tune into these live events, CATCH UP! ASAP! With the addition of Ref/Host Jerry O’Connell into the mix and plenty more electric events for our Barstool personalities, it’s been nonstop entertainment. Of course, I know not all Stoolies have the luxury of free time, but find your way to Viva La Stool on YouTube or if you only have time for this blog.. I GOT YOU!
Over the first two days of camp, presented by the best drink around, Mountain Dew, the two squads led by Dana Beers (Team Baja Blast) & Max (Team OG Mountain Dew) have been fiery and full of nonstop action. Day one was centered around the diamond, with the main event being softball. OG Mtn Dew being the HEAVY favorites. Not only did we get to see Mark Titus flash some early dad strength, but also newly-turned redcoat Hank Lockwood launch a go-ahead bomb late in the game.
Sandwiched in between, Danny Conrad stayed hot and absolutely trucked the boss Big Cat at the plate. The comrades kept riding the Conrad wave, but in the end it was the underdog Baja Blast squad pulling off the comeback win. Somehow, by the end of Day One, Dana Beers had his team sitting on top of the points standings.
Day Two brought the water games, which somehow went even crazier. It started in the sand with a volleyball match for the ages! Whether you were locked in on another Baja Blast comeback, Jerry & The Dude reffing, or the MadDog vs. Nicky Smokes interaction (very one-sided, btw), it was pure gas. The clips from volleyball were absolute madness in a back-and-forth battle both on the scoreboard and in the sand.
From there it was off to the water for the next four events, with the teams splitting wins to set up the final day of competition. But honestly, the results were maybe 3% of the real story. Both squads gave us some… inspired efforts in synchronized swimming, highlighted by a Katic & Mintzy special performance that has to be seen to be believed.
Then came the relays and kayak races, and yes, apparently “kayak” is spelled like that (Beersy had some thoughts). Objective? Subjective? We might need a ruling here Beers. Either way, anytime you get to see Steven Cheah swim, it’s can’t-miss content.
And finally… THE BLOB! I’m not going to understate this one bit: KB stole the entire show. Whether it was on purpose or a complete accident, watching it live I couldn’t help but applaud. As potential Emmy winning reporter Nick Turani said, Kyle Dean finally got his backflip.
Stoolies, find time this week for Camp Barstool. Whether it’s the events, The Yak, Mostly Sports, or even diving into Wonton Don’s streams, it gives another level of insight into the inner workings of Barstool Sports and delivers nonstop must-watch clips along the way.
