Betrayal in the Rivalry: Klemmer Goes Full KMS

In the Boston & New York sports history rivalry, we have Babe Ruth, Roger Clemens, Johnny Damon, and now adding another to the history books today...Chris Klemmer. Jumping ship to KMS out of the Boston area for a GM position. This comes so soon after a humiliating defeat as the head man for Barstool NY just last night. The news was first reported by Jeff D. Lowe this morning on the social media site formerly known as Twitter.

The news sent shockwaves right away through New York, already reeling from the loss. Barstool NY most likely today was going to turn to Coach Klemmer for answers, in hopes of getting a rematch soon against KMS. For New York sports fans, they now get a taste of how Boston fans have felt losing other marquee figures in the past to the Big Apple. Still, many NY fans are screaming collusion, fraud, and even that Klemmer aided in the loss just last night.

This all begs the question: Was this deal done before tipoff? And if so, what punishment is in store for Klemmer, a member... well, for now, of the New York office?

Now, we all know Kirk, and this is clearly a power move after an emotional victory to put his foot down on the New York squad. Most likely, the rat Klemmer is nothing but a pawn in Kirk’s final curb stomp of Barstool NY basketball. Of course, Klemmer will have talk of past championships on his resume, but why would KMS need the man they just beat... WELL... unless he was the man behind enemy lines, as a deal was made between the two parties? Should the result be protested? Should there be an investigation? The questions cannot help but be thrown about! Barstool NY players have to be replaying every coaching decision from last night back in their minds, looking for any evidence of possible collusion!

Being that Kirk is on a somewhat warpath lately with his displeasure in missing the upcoming Barstool Golf Creator event, and Klemmer’s known ability to be a bit of a rat (as seen with his Rat Race inspirations)... you can’t help but let your mind wander. For NY leaving all you had on the hardwood last night to now only wonder if you were powerless in it all as the fix was in. Or what about KMS all the practices, abuse, and to still not be trusted to finish the job? Instead your leader makes some sort of back alley deal to secure a victory. For all parties involved you can only hope this is all speculation and theory with no truth to it.

As Pick Central looked to be somewhat diffusing the rumor mill, and maybe a light at the end of the tunnel past this troubled situation was showing... the man, the myth, the legend himself, Dave Portnoy brought it ALL the way back. He looks to be in talks with Barstool NY to be on a short-term contract to coach the team against KMS in a potential rematch. What a spin zone, taking all the control had by Kirk & Klemmer and turning it back onto NY.

Ladies & gentlemen, get your popcorn popping, snacks out, and drinks filled. We’ve got the lights dimming and projector rolling for another masterpiece ahead: Portnoy vs. Minihane. Klemmer vs. his old team. New York vs. Boston sports...a clash of titans.
