Beggin' Noah Kahan For New Tunes

The world of music has always meant a great deal to me. In my teens and early 20s, I think a good ballpark of concerts I went to was around 100. Over a ten-year period, it felt like I was going to one basically once a month. As new music came out, I was on top of every teaser and any news before the final drop of a new album. For those who are also music heads, you know that feeling when one of your top artists drops new music, it’s near what I’d imagine crack feels like. Seriously, I read that music can create similar chemical reactions in us as drugs.
Now, as I’ve gotten older, my new music bug hasn’t been nearly as intense as in the past. I often find myself, like most millennials, grabbing hold tight to my younger days' music, as the drug of nostalgia perfumes into my ears. Most of my new music these days comes from random radio songs, TikTok clips, or those assorted moments at a game or in a store when I’m asking Siri, “Who the heck plays this song?” Ugh, that makes me feel quite old, I’ll admit.
Overall though, most of the performers or bands I like tend to be done releasing new music. Except for a few… like Morgan Wallen, who does a good job; Luke Combs, another solid one; Benson Boone, too. But one of my favorites, since my wife introduced me a few years back, is Noah Kahan. I’d say he’s a more “adult” listen than a Benson Boone. Kahan’s sound swept my music taste off its feet with his last album, even leading to us getting to a live show over a year ago. Which even helped the love affair with his sounds grow, for those who aren't big live show people, a good performance by your favorites can change your life! Anyways he’s been blown up, playing stadiums, awards shows, and world-famous festivals. I’m so happy for any musician who grinds and finally hits.
BUT...here’s the thing. For over the past year, he’s been tossing out teasers, clips, and messages saying new music is coming. Yet here we sit… radio silence (maybe pun intended… I think?). To me I feel there is some sort of responsibility to give us what we need, artists usually only have a certain career arc or length you could say. We want as much as we can have while it's possible!!!
Side note: I mean, for those still reading who have no idea who Kahan is, I’m telling ya, listen to his stuff ASAP. But fair warning: you’ll then want more, left screaming on social media or writing a blog about it like a psycho. Really? Who does that kind of shit? Yikes.
Noah is in a unique situation that he needs to take advantage of. His success is beginning to level out(not in a bad way he is still killing it) which I’m sure brings insane pressure for the new stuff not to flop. But to sit idly by while the Benson Boones of the world come in hot? That only hurts at some point as time rolls on. Wallen, for example, does a great job of regularly dropping massive albums to keep fans engaged. Now, I’m not expecting a 40-song album...but maybe a single, or a short EP to hold us over while he rounds out the next full-length release.
JUST SOMETHING!
Yes, I know there was a live album recently, but that’s all previously known songs. And not to live-shame, because I was there in person. But...I’ve had that experience. Also yes he has been featured on many songs with other big artists, but nah nah nah I want his stuff, his writing, his sound.
So yes, maybe I’m being greedy...but it’s a greed coming from love and endearment, if that counts for anything. His past tunes make us fans want more, to get another first-time moment with the next hit. I don’t believe I’m asking for too much, just a new recorded song or two to hold us over (geez, I totally sound like a drug addict or something... but great music really does have that effect).
My hope is that some magic happens and this blog plea somehow reaches Noah himself, and he sees the need, the craving, for his presence in the 2025 new music release world.
If not, I’ll continue to wait as patiently as I can, a slight Mess, left maybe with some sort of False Confidence, Still, though, All My Love Forever on the tunes, with No Complaints... the Maine thing we can do is is hope by Halloween...until then we wait hoping you give us the new stuff.

I’ve got a northern attitude about it
