Now, I know there have been some "rumblings" online about this blog being “fake,” blah blah blah. I'm here to assure you these rankings are thoroughly researched and have the full strength of validity needed to be published.
Alright, with both the college football & NFL seasons in full swing now, it’s time to start thinking seriously about who could be top dog! First off, for those a little unfamiliar with the college game, they have the Heisman Trophy winner as their "MVP." The contenders for this award could be the future of your team in the years to come, so this is real important shit here.
Speaking of the pros, we also need to take a look at who’s separating themselves from the pack now that we’re six weeks into the season. BUT! Let’s start with the Heisman though, in the college game.
This season hasn’t really seen a clear standout. Last year at this point, we had three clear frontrunners ahead of the pack. This year is a bit different, the leaders shouldn't & don’t feel safe, this could truly end up being just a popularity contest, sadly.
As of now, it’s hard not to put Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza at the top, especially with a major road win under his belt on top of great stats. Then you’ve got the big boys, like Alabama QB Ty Simpson, though it’s easy when you have those weapons in my opinion. Oh and for Ohio's Tate & co. we know this can’t be a legitimate list without the Ohio State duo of QB Julian Sayin & WR Jeremiah Smith.

I dug deep, and I’ve got three dark horses for the award: Washington QB Demond Williams Jr., Navy QB Blake Horvath, and Notre Dame QB CJ Carr. The fact is, they’re putting up insanely good stats, and their teams currently hold a combined record of 16-3. Hard to ignore!
We still have a long way to go, but each of these ten dudes will have chances ahead to show the country their Heisman moment.
In the NFL, according to most experts, we’re seeing a similar race with no one standing out. Though I’ve got a different take, early on, there’s a clear leader in Tampa Bay QB Baker Mayfield. After him, it does get a little muddy for sure. Indianapolis RB Jonathan Taylor is quietly playing out of his mind, along with Seattle WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

With stars like QBs Joe Burrow & Lamar Jackson hurt, the race does open up for others to take advantage. Buffalo QB Josh Allen & Kansas City QB Patrick Mahomes are beginning to flex their muscles, with Allen having an important one tonight in primetime against a solid defense. After them, you’ve got some long shots in San Francisco RB Christian McCaffrey and New England QB Drake Maye.
Football is in full steam ahead as fall weather finally hits us this week, it's finally time to make a good chili to pair with some ball. The VERY REAL Barstool Breakdown rankings will also be updated throughout the season, so make sure to stay close, and feel free to give your input as well.
