Barstool After Dark: Mazing Mintzy

Pumpkins, Chili, and Football? Right? That’s how we know fall is here!

Nope. Of course real ones know, we decide fall is here by a night out with the one and only Mintzy, dragging his handcuffed-to-him date, Ohio’s Tate, through the corn maze of all corn mazes. Barstool After Dark this week is out of office and on the road, celebrating the beginning of fall in the Midwest… or kind of, since the weather’s still summer warm. Kicking off October will be Mintzy trying to find his way through checkpoints to grab the magic key that’ll free Tate from his blindfold and cuffs, and (hopefully) help the pair escape the worlds LARGEST corn maze with a 10 mile trail & 28-acre corn maze.

Now for most Barstool employees, this would be light work. He’s got a map, clues, checkpoints, it’s all laid out. You throw Nick, KB, Danny Conrad (for the Comrades!), or even the other King of the South, Brandon Walker, in this spot and it’s a wrap. But this is Mintzy. The man who struggled to open a bobblehead. The guy who once gave ESPN a piece while Barstool was airing on FS1. And most recently, the man who posted his pregame thoughts 3 to 4 hours after the game ended.

No, no, no...this is not a task to be taken lightly, people. As stoolies, we know the process of the man they call Ben Mintz, and this stream is guaranteed to be full of head-scratching but can’t-miss moments.

For anyone who doesn’t remember, before in a past stream Tate was blindfolded, it took Mintz a while to realize Tate could actually hear him. Just a little measuring stick for what you can expect Tuesday night.

Alright, now comes the big question: time. How long does it take Mintz to get the key and unleash his partner for help? And then you’ve got Tate trying to recalibrate his bearings once his sight returns. Oh, and for those who don’t know farms or acreage, 28 acres ain’t just your neghbors backyard. This is a BIG boy of a maze. My betting line for the over/under has to be 5.5 hours. Do I see the OVER getting hammered by Barstool employees & stoolies? YES. But if the past few years of Ben Mintz have taught me anything, it’s this: just when you think you’ve seen it all from him, like an onion, there’s always another layer waiting to surprise you.

Let’s not forget, jump onto Barstool After Dark and see if Mintzy is built to defeat the corn. And don’t forget the new start time!!! An hour earlier...7PM ET / 6PM CT!
