Barstool After Dark: Christmas-Spectacular

My fingers are trying to keep up with my enthusiasm for this one, folks! We have the Barstool After Dark Christmas Spectacular, it is here! Ohio’s Tate is bringing just about the whole office into his After Dark universe for this one, for a little Christmas-themed competition… of course with a little DraftKings(Best Sportsbook out there!!) present for the winners at the end.

From Big Cat to MARK(in Chef Donny tone) Titus, White Sox Dave to Chef Donny, we are going to be blessed with an all-time cast. The competitions will be Christmas-themed, from eating to gift wrapping. The captains will pick contestants for each challenge, with of course 12 total challenges(you know like the 12 days of Christmas, keep up people) in all before the final relay for the victory. For those a little confused, this looks to be similar to a Camp Barstool setup, but Christmas & office themed… so in other words, MUST SEE STREAM!

Though it won’t end with the competitors either, as Tate & Lucas have put together a broadcast booth that rivals Barkley & Vitale. We will get the heavy hitters all together, as Connor Griffin, Brandon Walker, & booth legend Nick Turani will be on the call. Could there also be a surprise sideline appearance from the one & only Barstool Kate?! We can dream!

As for the officiating, After Dark has turned to Barstool’s best in Spider, who will be joined by the man, the myth, the legend Danny Conrad, so the comrades better get up in the chat to back our guy up. Also, real quickly, a very generous Christmas spirit move by Conrad to let someone else get a gift from DraftKings.

With competitions though, it is always about the matchups. Of course, people could be on the same team depending on how they get split up. Still, let’s take a look at 8 stoolie dream matchups... including one from BFW #1 Stoolie Pick 6 Alyssa… try to guess which one?!?!

The #1 pick is very recency bias, but we gotta ride the momentum of this one. Chef Donny is just delivering in every situation he is put in, so I am a hard believer that you put him in any spot vs anyone and he will show up! It don’t matter the game either. His competitive nature also showed or well screamed at Camp Barstool.

For the second spot, it will have to be something physical, drinking, or eating. These two guys will give us a show. Also, we all know a Dana & Max rivalry is brewing & ready to implode right before our eyes. Meanwhile, WSD vs Dante against each other on anything has the possibility to break the internet. Can you imagine these two doing something subjective (or objective if you ask Dana) like Christmas decorating & it’s left up to the chat to vote on… PLEASE!!!!

As you get into the second half of the list, I really just think KB dominating Nicky Smokes in anything remotely athletic will ruin Smokes to the core. Could there be some Santa wrestling setup for KB to show his skills? For instance, you have to get the candy from the middle of the circle? Just anything to see KB pin Smokes!

Also, you always love to see the classics... Tate vs Lucas, or the superstars Big Cat vs Titus. One “underdog” matchup would of course be Zac vs Rudy in some sort of video game competition. We know Rudy can find some obscure Christmas simulation online! They would be a fun, quick mashup, their dating sim streams are always must-sees.

Lastly, in a similar category as Chef Donny… Mikey Bets vs anyone. Again, riding that momentum in recent weeks, it feels like he could shine in any spot you put him in. His willingness to step in as well is a key piece to the puzzle.

Whoever we get in whatever matchups, this is shaping up to be a night of fun ahead for us stoolies. Last year’s Christmas special was a classic. Now, with an infusion of a Camp Barstool setup in the office with a Christmas spin, the antics will be aplenty!
