Barstool After Dark: "Bye Week" Must SEE!

With Barstool's Chicago office being taken over this week by the reality series Surviving Barstool, all live shows are getting a week off, including all of our weekly staples The Yak, Mostly Sports, & of course Barstool After Dark. Now, knowing that, like me, all of you stoolies are starving for some content, I decided to pull a page out of the Yak playbook to give everyone some old MUST-SEES!
Of course, the must-sees in After Dark fashion needed a twist, so instead of picking favorites myself, I decided to go to the source... or sources! With Ohio's Tate in the midst of the Surviving Barstool antics & cut off from the rest of the world, he was clearly out. Though no worries, as there were still the boys of After Dark to give us a "bye week" watch list. A huge thank you to Lucas, Ryan, & After Dark swiss army knife Danny Conrad, as their episodes will give stoolies a reminder of why After Dark is truly one of a kind!

2026 Bowling Stream
This one may surprise many of you when watching it back, especially coming from Danny as the boys were on his ass at times, but that just shows you how much the dude gets content & is a team player who gives the stoolies the best version of it. "It was more fun than it was torturous for once and had a lot of camaraderie." A great quote from Danny himself. This one is perfect to throw on as you get into work in the morning to help you get through the rigorous workday with the constant light-hearted banter & team accomplishment! The Comrades always love an After Dark re-watch!
Ryan Miksch - Producer
OG Hole in One
Ryan turned on the Wayback Machine for everyone with a blast from the beginning of the After Dark story. "I'd say my favorite to this day is the hole in one challenge with Jerry." One of the major reasons was that it marked not only the beginning of his run as an After Dark producer but also as a full-time Barstool employee. How can we not agree with Ryan on this one? Will it be tough to get in a complete re-watch... maybe, but there's no excuse to not hit the highlights as a little reminder of how it all started. Though he didn't stop there, as he gave us a couple of honorable mentions: Doug Doug 1.0, the double hole-in-one challenge, & another big one in Tate & Beef trying to get the putt & chip challenge done after being called back. Between those, you have to have at least one, if not all of them, to look back on with a smile.

Lastly, we have the mastermind of the original "twists" & "punishments" of After Dark. Much of what you love about the show comes from the mind of the former P.F. Chang's all-star server. When I asked him for his favorites, I love that he did not hold back & gave us 5... yes, 5 episodes you may have forgotten about to look back on this week!
Super Smash Bros
"12hrs in & we only finish because Brandon jumped in at 5am"... a stream that Lucas compared to the hole-in-one with Jerry as a near-impossible feeling once it got going. On top of that, you have the ANUS boys (Nick, KB, & Rudy), which makes any stream worth a re-watch. This is also one that I feel gets lost in the sauce of all the greats over the years. You might wanna find the time to fit this one in!
National Championship
I am glad someone brought this one up; it truly is personally one of my favorites. As someone who is a self-proclaimed god at EA NCAA, it was such a treat to see it humble a company full of grown men. Also, you then throw in the allegiances each had to their alma maters, even Lucas recalls Tate refusing to play as Michigan! I will always remember Lucas being locked into recruiting his ass off for San Jose State, just for Tate to bounce to another school that very offseason! This is the perfect stream to fill not only the After Dark hole but the lack of football in our lives right now.
Pros vs. Joes Volleyball
The beginning of the Pros vs. Joes series, which is gold every time! I cannot wait until we have Paul Skenes throwing 100 to White Sox Dave someday! With handball just demolishing our pathetic titans last week, this is the perfect throwback to where it all began!
Doug Doug 2.0
So you have Ryan throwing out Doug Doug 1.0 to us, and now Lucas with 2.0, this may be our sign to rip them back-to-back one day this week! After the first go-around, many thought there was no way that would be topped. Even Lucas said, "I thought for certain we couldn't top it & maybe there would be no pukes"... you just may have to re-watch this one to see how sometimes sequels show out!
Blind Corn Maze
"This is my favorite by far"... yeahhhh soooo Lucas' favorite HAS to be on your must-watch list this week! If you don't remember this hectic & downright shocking stream, you need to make some popcorn, get a drink, & enjoy the madness that is Mintzy! Trust me when I say this will not disappoint in the slightest. If you are an autumn lover, make sure you get on the corn maze re-watch!
When I asked for favorites from the guys, I never imagined it going this well. They now have me trying to crunch the numbers to watch them all somehow! The corn maze may be number one out of the gates, as it delivers on all aspects. In fact, here is to hoping Mintzy's Halloween special becomes a yearly thing... maybe next potentially giving him a map in a haunted escape room house to find the keys to get out of each room... while Tate is, of course, blindfolded yet again!
Whichever you choose to check out, the fact that we have so many to choose from just shows the depth of the After Dark catalog. In fact, I'm sure as stoolies we all have our own favorites, so make sure to post the link to your favorite in a comment on this story's tweet so we can see even more greats! Enjoy your own After Dark this week, but stay ready for what's also to come when we return next week!
